Who wants to have a crying sesh on Friday afternoon?
We should do a google hangout movie watch together pre-4pm
I thought I had gotten over my nerves…my skyrocketing heartbeat indicates otherwise after seeing that tweet, LOL
@jetynz I’m in
@jetynz we should watch rush hour or something
Gah I thought I’d get it right before school gets out… now I’ll find out while I’m still in MUN. This is gonna be so much fun /sarcasm
@scioprez3 are you a guy or a girl training with SAB?
@SeattleChick most probably not because these emails are automated. When they say 4 PST, they really mean 4 PST PRECISELY.
@SeattleChick fake sick and skip
This chat is so much less hectic than harvard and upenn. They have >200 and >400 pages respectively.
I’m so so happy I chose to apply to Stanford REA and none of the other elite universities. Like think about how awesome we have it. The majority of early applicants to most of those schools get deferred early on. Like Harvard’s deferral rate last year was 72.5% while Stanford deferred less people than they accepted. Whether we get accepted or rejected early on, at least the majority of us won’t be stuck waiting another 3 months for final decisions. Stanford was a great choice to apply to early and I don’t, for a second, regret it.
Hey just wanted to ask two questions: 1) should we expect the email to be at 4pm sharp since they need to send out like 6000 ish emails or a bit later, if later how late? 2) if u do get excepted is there a list that stanford gives that u can double check my name in, don’t wanna get hyped for nthin.
Good luck to all you guys. Wishing we all could get in.
Which do you suggest? Looking at the email by myself or viewing it with family so that when I’m rejected I’ll have some support.
@chunkylumbee Im gonna do it alone, and record my reaction, cause i have no idea how i will react.
I’m going to have my parents look and have them tell me lol
my best friend and i are going to call eachother like 5 min before and open our emails while we are on the phone together. I’m happy for the support but its going to suck if one of us gets rejected and the other gets in…
Does anyone know how their track team works? I ran 4:28 in the mile and 1:57 in the 800 last year and I really want to run, but I doubt they would let me even be a walk on. Let me not get too ahead of myself because i haven’t been accepted yet. I hope I do though
those are literally my same PR’s, I’ve been incontact with some other coaches. Basically you have to a) get into Stanford, b) hae the senior season of your life and drop to a sub 4:20 and sub 1:55 and c) email Stanford’s coaches and tell them you want to walk on
42 hours to gooooo
