@icosawhat If you find out, let me know, I have the same issue xD. Right now I’m erring on the side of not updating them. I’m pretty sure the optional update form is only for deferred students.
Need to send in a few updates as well. Please help someone
Anotherdude, If I were you I would find your admissions officer on this list https://admission.stanford.edu/counselors/officers.html (or maybe you already know who they are), and write a super-brief note: "Good afternoon XXX, I have some updates I would like to add to my file, specifically… Is that possible?
(But FIRST read their site and any info you got from them to see if they already answered your question about updates. Because if you ask a question that a little research should have already answered, you look lazy or worse.)
@77005ABHSSr is this the official way to send updates?
Hey I am Delhi and I just had my interview yesterday. It was so much fun!

does stanford send out likely letters to international applicants?

I do not know how to submit updates or even if they accept them, since it hasn’t come up with my interactions with Stanford. I was just suggesting that you scour the Stanford website, materials, and any communications you got from them to see what they say about submitting updates. Then if you cannot find the answer you need, email your admission counselor / reader for your area. However, I would think Stanford would have an answer on their website somewhere. If so, then no need to email them. If not, then no harm in emailing them. But what you DO NOT want to do is email them with a question that is already answered on their website or in their materials --that makes you look like you aren’t very good at basic research.

It sounds like Stanford may send likely letters out to international applicants, but these days with the admit rate down at 5% and Stanford being the Princeton Review #1 dream school for the last few years, they don’t have to work quite so hard to get the best of the best.
Did anyone figure out if RD applicants can send updates? Or if it’s just for deferred students?
Hi I’m from the Philippines. I would like to know how I could apply for a scholarship in Stanford University. Thanks
@saabelly You should not post a question to a thread that is not related to your question. It’s called “thread-jacking” and considered rude. If you have a question about applying to Stanford Masters program in writing and requiring Fin Aid, start a new thread and title it appropriately. This thread is for undergrad admissions into the class of 2020 – as per the title.
I sent my application in September and I haven’t gotten an interview call yet. Should I be concerned?
If anyone knows how important an interview has on the application, please comment.
Or does Stanford looks primarily at the essays and ECs for intellectual vitality?
Hi guys. I called Stanford’s admission office the other day and asked about sending updates for regular decision applicants. The form online is for deferred students only, but if you’re a rd applicant looking to send an update, you can fax one. Hope that helps the others who were curious like myself
@shivaya Stanford interviews are (a) assigned randomly and (b) have little to no weight on admissions.
@1golfer1 - Thank you.
Don’t worry about not getting an interview request --it is based on zip code and interviewer availability and has nothing to do with GPA / scores / etc. (But they are not assigned randomly --it is a matching process where they interview everyone they can, based on interviewer availability.)
Does anyone know when the interview deadline is for Stanford? That way I don’t need to keeping waiting for something that’s already over haha
@miamelle126 I heard most colleges have a deadline of Feb 15th to do interviews and send in reports, so you should probably stop waiting.
