***Stanford Class of 2020 Applicant Discussion***

@CoralReef19 I believe in you  you have a chance just like everybody else.

@Thisishassanali there’s no point - you’ve already submitted them, having someone look over your essays at this stage is only going to make you more anxious.

You’re right @smartypants57

Is it required that we send both SAT and ACT scores to Stanford?

No

Either the sat with subject tests or just act.

@enthusiasian Called Stanford about this earlier, but if you take both the ACT and SAT, Stanford requires that you send all attempts/scores, for both tests.

@boulangerie oops, forgot to send the SAT. just sent it now- do you think it will affect admissions?

Honestly it’s too late to do anything about it. Most likely they finished 95% of their decisions and are just making the final decisions on people who are on the boarder line. Hopefully it didn’t affect anything since many colleges don’t look into things deep that aren’t already on your application unless they have any concerns. Here’s to hoping you’ll be okay and get in

When will they release decisions? I know historically it’s been the last Friday of March… But April 1st also falls on a Friday. So 25th or the 1st?

Best of luck to everyone!!! I have pretty low chances, considering the test scores and accomplishments of Stanford admits, but let’s all stay hopeful for the next two? weeks!

Do you think if I called the admissions office and asked them when they’re releasing decisions they would tell me?

@ksinke97 They’d probably say around April 1st. That’s what it says on the site http://admission.stanford.edu/application/deadlines/index.html

@ksinke97 can’t hurt, but tell us what they say

@ksinke97 Try saying this: “Look you cant release results on April fool’s day - too many cruel jokes will be played. You will unintentionally cause lots of teenage angst. Now you wouldn’t want the good name of Leland Stanford Junior University be associated with that… Would you?” If that doesn’t work, hopefully you will get a laugh.

Oh and never give them your actual name (whether you get a laugh or not), now or in bars when you are 21…

The letter sent to deferred students indicated that decisions would be released in late March.

@harvard2020babe why you gotta play us like that? ~:>

@elk1819 yeah for sure celebrate your success! treat yo self :))

@Ballerina016

I did not apply SCEA, and I do not have the dropdown.

Nobody has now. It probably was a glitch for a short period of time
