Stanford Class of 2022 Discussion/Decisions

Just curious, for internationals needing financial aid, do they look at your CSS Profile or do they just lump every international student in a “need financial aid” pool?

Stanford sucks for doing this to me. I know I’m not going to get in but still there’s a little hope but no I won’t but maybe there’s a slight possibility but probably not UGH

@Top10Squad what about a journal with an impact factor of around 4.0? would that still count as good or…?

To those who just submitted Stanford REA, did you get a confirmation email yet? After I submitted mine, the “What’s Next” part said “we will send you a confirmation email within the next few days,” so I’m just curious if anyone got their yet.

@sandy44 I got a confirmation email today. Asked me to make an account for an application status page. The page just tracks all the materials you have submitted and will also contain your decision letter.

I also got my confirmation email today.

@IAmTheGreatest @David Kwentua when did you submit?

When I submitted it took a couple days to get the confirmation email so don’t worry if you haven’t received one yet.

I got it the email, thanks! Only thing we can do now is wait

is stanford starting to offer interviews in ca or is it still rare?

Good luck everyone! Anyone have interview tips?

@asaltyattic Stanford lists the CA counties in which they offer interviews here: https://admission.stanford.edu/apply/freshman/interviews.html

Also, my interviewer contacted me yesterday, and I live in a more rural part of CA, so I was surprised.

Yes, the interviewing process has begun. I live in Idaho; I was contacted a few days ago by an alum for an interview. Good luck to all in this thread!

Does it mean anything if you do or don’t get an interview? I live close to a large city but I haven’t been contacted yet

Also, to those of you who were offered interviews – did the email come from a sender with any reference to stanford in the email address?

Same, @18college1111. When do you think they will stop contacting for interviews/when is the time frame?

@blubird35 Their website says that interviews for REA are conducted in the “first few weeks of November” so I think if we’re going to be contacted it will be soon

Yeah same @18college1111 and @blubird35. I applied in October and live in a big city, but haven’t been contacted yet. I’m going to assume that it doesn’t mean anything necessarily? Maybe it’ll still happen. But if they don’t contact me, is there any way to reach out to them? Or should we not do that?

@bluepear2000 website says that you cannot request an interview, so I am personally not going to contact them about it

yeah, you’re right. me neither
