Sometimes takes a few days for something submitted to show up in Stanford’s system. That happened to my student as well.

The supplement question is answered in some detail on the website I think.

Hey guys! I’ve been stalking this thread and others for months but I just had my alumni interview today and it went really well! I wanted to see if anyone had any input on what it may mean that my interviewer kept saying things like “when you are at Stanford,” “you will love California,” and “let me know if you choose Stanford when you get your other decisions”… is this something a lot of interviewers say to the applicants or does it mean she really thought I would get in? How much influence do good interviews have on the admissions process? I don’t want to get my hopes up too much, especially because I’m not a super over-the-top applicant or anything.

Anyone in California get an email about an interview yet?

Nothing for us from California.

I (OOS) applied for RD cycle for Computer Science and haven’t got an interview call yet ? Does that mean my application is not competitive ?

Nothing for us from Virginia

Massachusetts, we are having our interviews this week…

I’m from California and had my interview last weekend. One of my friends has hers this weekend.

Has anyone notified Stanford about a recent accomplishment? If so, did you get a reply back?

Those are good things to hear but It’s fair to warn you that alums are not very well calibrated, especially if they are old enough that in their day the school was admitting 15 or 20 percent.! Getting that kind of feedback is the best you can hope for but when I was interviewing as an alum I quickly learned that a lot of people I really thought would get it didn’t always.

Alums have no special knowledge of a student’s chances but clearly you really impressed him/her. Good luck.

Can anyone share their Stanford interview questions?

Does it mean no hope if you didn’t get called for alumni interview?

@Caliban No.

Interviewers may not be accessible to certain regions. An extreme example is that Stanford is not offering interviews to many countries this year. Not receiving an interview will not harm your chances of being admitted, and frankly, interviews contributed very little to the decision process.
