So from what I read we still don’t have a set date and time correct?
The admissions webpage says Friday, March 30 at 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
I wonder if they realize that it costs them by releasing decisions so late, especially this year when it is also a double holiday? Other schools who released earlier have been giving out the love and drawing students who see the value of a bird in the hand.
@grandscheme I agree! EA is definitely powerful like that – the college sends out mail, t-shirts, you name it, and also, you get to meet your potential new classmates (Facebook groups, etc) and maybe even meet up. I found myself falling into this “trap” (not really, but I now like the place better than before I applied) after getting accepted to EA schools.
@emmajay Not just the EA/EDs but schools who either reach out early to strong candidates or just any school that doesn’t have to wait until the very last couple of days to release decisions. Most high schools have just finished spring break and it is easier to do revisits over a break than missing school in April with AP exams around the corner.
HELLO…hello…hello….(insert echo effect) ….Is it just that NO ONE thinks the are making it in?…this place is deader than the library on sunday morning
@harper3125 the best news I’m expecting is being waitlisted. I would honestly be ecstatic over that
Consider this the calm before the storm @harper3125 …A very, very, very depressing storm.
Yup, a cold depressing storm, lol. But, we are all in good company…the 95%
Less than 50 hours to go.
@Nomorelurker When exactly is the release date and time?
supposedly 4pm (Pacific) this Friday April 30
Just got rejected from all the ivies, stanford is my last hope now. It’s either Stanford or no leaving home country.
A nice lovely countdown. https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/generic?iso=20180330T16&p0=224&msg=Stanford+Decision&font=cursive&csz=1
@Harvard2022maybe Yup just got rejected from all of them as well. Stanford’s acceptance rate is even lower though so I’m counting on other schools.
Stanford, you’re my last hope…
Are there any tricks to see if we got in or not?
@bros20000 after all of the commotion it started in the Ivy threads and ultimately meant nothing, I would suggest steering clear from that
lol, same boat, rejected from all 5 ivies I applied to. have some other good options though, so ready to take my last L from Stanford
Hi everyone, I just wanted to say good luck to all of you!
I also wanted to add for those of you saying Stanford is your last hope, going to an Ivy caliber school is not the be all end all. My sister dropped out of Duke and later dropped out of Johns Hopkins before enrolling at community college, and she happens to love community college much more than either of those schools. Not to say that any of you all will end up at CC (given that I’m pretty similar to many of y’all and intend to go to a “top” school), but I just hope you all know your self worth and know that you are more than any acceptance or rejection letter. I certainly hope you all get into Stanford, but I also hope you know you are worth so much more than one decision.
Best of luck to all come Friday!
