Y’all make me depressed lol. Got pretty much rejected by the Ivies I applied to (only 1 though, LOL). My backups are UCSD and UCSB as for right now. I’m crossing fingers for Stanford but I’m ready for a rejection anyway. Rejected by UCLA, waitlisted by UCB, so Stanford is a really long shot. Probably the distance between my house and Mars.
Got rejected from all my tops and this is my last longshot. Screw the college process tbh
im really hoping that stanford pulls thru i feel like my options are dwindling and this is my last school lmao
I got rejected from Duke and USC, and wait listed at Vanderbilt. I’m quickly losing hope for Stanford, as this week has been nothing but L’s, but if worse comes to worse UAB is my backup. I’m glad to see not everybody was rejected from the colleges I applied to, and I wish all of you a good experience and a bright education & future
Was never asked to interview. Does that matter?
rejected by ucla and ucb. can stanford pls pull through and spare my soul and accept me to conclude my college admissions process on a good note PLS
same @mg2772
My number one is Northwestern (which I’ve already been accepted to), but I’m waiting to get that rejection from Stanford before I commit.
Have you gotten into one ivy, maybe two, or all of them. Stanford, aka the humbler, is coming soon. There’s a reason why they release last.
Good luck tomorrow y’all. :>
@slumgoat that’s definitely a fitting nickname =((
Got into one Ivy and USC, hoping for the best with Stanford.
Rejected/WL by 4 ivies, accepted to UCLA, UCB, USC and NYU with a generous scholarship. A rejection by Stanford would not be the end of the world. Keep up the good work and keep sending the good vibes! No matter what happens, you are all wonderful individuals who will end up where you belong.
backup is columbia or ucla, but really hoping stanford pulls through
You guys are calling Ivies as ‘backup’. Nice to see that when you got rejected by like 11 colleges.
Oh btw, did I tell you?.. I am waiting for Stanford’s decision hoping to miraculously get in!!!
Well, it is gonna take a miracle to get in!!
12 HOURS!!!
Go Cardinal!
The reasons are:
-
Most private colleges play the yield game with ED (and sometimes ED2) to lock in the applicants (yield approaches 100% with ED/ED2). Stanford and a few other hyper desirable colleges are, of course, not among them. Since they generally only lose a portion of their admittees to each other, their yields are relatively unaffected.
-
Colleges are purposedly reducing the number of acceptances and putting more applicants on their waitlists for “yield management”. Waitlist is just like ED (ED3?) with practically 100% yield.
Hey guys international applicant here. I have a quick question about mailing addresses. Does anyone have a bunch of of mailing addresses listed in their portal with spelling mistakes like me…? I have no idea where those addresses came from cuz I know I havn’t wrote anything stupid like “Ho Chi Minh City, South Korea” Is this a april fools prank by stanford? ;(
- just to add I have 3 mailing addresses in total and 1 permanent address. Is this how it is for everyone??
