Stanford Class of 2022 Discussion/Decisions

Any francophone on the thread?

@katli26 Did you give an interview? If so, how did it go?

get*** @katli26

What did you write about 1 thing you’re looking forward to at Stanford?

no, I live in Indiana and there were I believe 7 people including me who applied to Stanford and only 3 of us got interviews. Stanford knows that almuni’s can’t interview every single applicant so it doesn’t put you at a advantage or disadvantage. My interviewer told me that he only took so many and not all of them. So its likely the interviewer in your area decided to do x amount. The interview is purely just insight and feedback sent to the admission’s office. @SecuretheBag

@TheOneAndOnlyT-Rex The Game!

One thing for me would be getting to study a rigorous world renowned curriculum.

@AhmedAY No way! same here. I said that I want to beat the mentalist, hahaha. That’s cool!
Where are you from?

I wasn’t interviewed. Is that a problem?

@blackchocolate

He most likely only interviewed those 3 because they were the ones being most seriously considered for admission. The rest were either out of the running, or basically guaranteed admission already.

I wrote about Full Moon on The Quad :smiley:

@TheOneAndOnlyT-Rex I’m from Egypt, but I live in Jeddah, KSA. Not sure where that would put me in terms of applicant pool lol

Oh and freshman seminars!

I had an interview in January with a lovely woman who does work in Statistics. She went to Stanford as a graduate student. We spoke for about 45 minutes and while it was somewhat awkward, we ended up talking a lot about each other’s backgrounds. I’m uncertain of how well it went only because we had several awkward pauses and were both guilty of asking the same or similar question twice. We’ll see, hoping for the best!

@minajestynic I did get an interview because I happened to be in the same city as an alumni during the time that she requested for.(my hometown has like no ppl) the interview went really well! She was a really nice lady who worked in bioengineering, which is something I want to do, so we talked for a while about that. In the end she told me that I’d be a good fit at Stanford, but also stressed that she had no control over the admissions process, so it could go either way I guess

Did an internship at Stanford last summer; didn’t get into a single Ivy on Wednesday…

Ths is my very very last hope :frowning:

I got into Duke, JHU, Berkeley and NU. But I got 6 rejects and 2 waitlists from Columbia and Cornell amongst the Ivies. Absolutely crushed. Praying for a miracle with Stan, She’s my last bet wipes tear
