Nothing here…

Clarification: Have they called anyone with an acceptance? I heard that if you are accepted into the BFA Acting program, you get called, with an acceptance packet to follow. I’ve heard like vague rumors on here but no one can actually confirm that they have been called. My mypurchase account still stays the same, day after day haha.

Yeah, there are no acceptances listed on the “Acceptances” thread, but, of course, that doesn’t mean nobody HAS been accepted yet. Supposedly, Purchase does all the rejections first, so I guess we’ll see what happens with bogface in a day or two…

And my status still hasn’t changed either! I’m just hoping that no news is good news… Hopefully they didn’t accidentally lose our files or something awful like that!

My d was accepted to the conservatory design/technical theatre. I kept checking MYPurchase all day, everyday and then BAM…Congratulations… notice changed in the afternoon 3/11

My S checked his mypurchase account this past Sat. and the Congrats you are accepted in the Jazz Studies program showed up!

My account still says that message too: “We are in receipt of all of your required application materials…” etc. We’re in the same boat together. =P

Nothing here. A little frustrating…

Acting program… When people post it is real helpful to those of us waiting if you will specify what program you are waiting to hear from and if you DO get accepted, please let us know how you learned… call? letter? My Purchase etc. Thanks and Break A Leg! Best wishes wherever your acting passion takes you. A director once told us… “If you are truly passionate about acting… you will find where you need to be & that place will appreciate you beyond your expectations!!!”

My son was accepted into the Studio Production program. His account status changed today and we were told a letter is in the mail. Good luck to all of you!

Got this e-mail today from purchase!

Got my rejection today.

emi congratulations! when did you audition? and bogface, i’m really really sorry that is no fun. my status still says the same thing, and i haven’t gotten an email…

My son also received the same email this morning. He auditioned on the West Coast and they did videotape him.

Bogface - I’m truly sorry as well :(

Got form letter today…not offering admission or wait list…

Congrats to all who went through this process & to Chicago audition with encouraging news! Hopefully the conservatory experience at Purchase will be
much better than the audition decision wait process! Right?!
Best wishes to you all!
Anyone know of any non-audition acting programs that are still accepting applications at this point?

Thanks everyone! I auditioned in early February in Chicago, and I live in the Midwest. I also got a DePaul waitlist letter today, so I’m assuming those are out.

NYCTheatreMom, College of Charleston has a great program if your actor is looking to double major.

NYCTheatreMom, not sure your child’s academic qualifications but it may not be too late to apply to Hofstra University which has a BA with no audition for its theater program but after two years, a student can audition to get into the BFA track. You can’t audition for the BFA until that juncture. This might be a very nice option.

I THINK they may still be accepting applications.

NYCTheatreMom, my son just got an application in the mail for Ohio Wesleyan. They said they are extending the deadline until March 31.

Maybe you could start a thread and ask others for their input. I’m sure you’ll receive a wealth of knowledge on the subject.

Very best of luck and success to your son!

Thanks for the support, guys. I also want to congratulate everyone who got the email. That’s absolutely fantastic (and as much as I wish I was among the select few, it’s really, really nice to see things starting to shape up for some people)!

Bogface, I believe I speak for all the others here: WE LOVE YOU :)

I’m with you too bogface! I just got my rejection letter. It just wasn’t the right place for us, you’re going to get into the place you need to be. Trust me.
