Did anyone else’s change to Complete? Mine is still saying “Under Review” :(

Mine is still “under review” :-(

Well, I’m still hopeful It seems to be coming in stages for everyone. Maybe we’ll see something on Friday or Monday.

I’m so glad I found this thread. It’s like group therapy. seriously. LOL.

I’ve been checking my TFA status online and e-mail non-stop since my final interview (10/21). While my final interview went okay, I know I could’ve done much better during the group interview. The group discussion was pretty much dominated by people who talked for like 2min non-stop and others (like me) try to budge in but then another would talk after you say a couple words. I was only able to say two things, but I know I could’ve said a lot more. Ugh. Oh wells, it is what it is.

For anyone’s transitional funding that changed to “complete”, early congrats to you since it is definitely a good sign, and can you please let us know:

1.) Submission date of your transitional funding
2.) Final interview date

Thanks!!! Good luck to us all!

Haha TFAhopeful, it really is!

I agree with polling everyone on those two things, I’d love to know if the transitional funding status change is tied to the day you submitted the docs/final interview date.

For the record, I interviewed on Oct. 19th and submitted my app on Oct. 7th.

I just been invited to the phone interview…Im excited and nervous at the same time!

Congrats scorpio1110

Thanks. Good luck to you all on your final decision.Im sure you guys did your best regardless the outcome.

Hi, tfahopeful! My transitional funding status changed to complete on Wednesday. I had submitted my transitional funding application 10/14 and interviewed 10/21. Not sure what (if any) correlation exists between dates, but it seems to be more tied to interview date than the transitional funding submission date. I think a lot of it has to do with placement, too. It might take longer to find assignments for some people!

I know people were seeing status changes up until the day of decisions last year! And in the TFA wait list thread, I saw someone whose status had changed to complete, so he thought he was being pulled off the waitlist, and he hadn’t been (though he did eventually get accepted). So I really am hesitant to assume anything from the change to “complete.”

Thanks toydiamondring I’m anxious but still hopeful that my status will change soon enough. You’re right, they’re probably still down to the wire trying to figure out where to place people.

Yes. Thanks, toydiamondring.

I am hoping everyone’s status will change a.s.a.p.

We have 5 more days to go guys! I will definitely keep myself occupied during the weekend and do something fun that way I get my mind distracted from all this waiting. ugh.

Well, I have nothing to compulsively check (although I wish I did) since I did not submit for transitional funding. I figure I would not qualify for grants (the joys of being a working professional!) and I have enough in savings to get by…

So it’s just plain ol’ waiting for me! But interesting to see how all of your statuses have been updating!

Hey TFAhopeful! I submitted my Transitional Funding on the last day, 10/14, and interviewed on Wed, 10/21 (which was before toydiamondring). My status changed yesterday (Thursday, 11/03) during the day.

I think status change also depends on the region where you were interviewed, and how many applicants that region had (maybe some are busier than others and have more applications to process). It’s still around 5 days left, so don’t stress much over no change in transitional funding - I am sure TFA admissions folks are still working on placements/transitional funding awards and did not get to everyone’s yet. If they had everyone’s applications processed by now, the Notification day would had been today! Although I know, it is very stressful, but all of you who are still waiting - hang in there!!!

Thanks, dreamingirl.

It appears that status change is independent of these two variables. However, it is interesting that they are working on them as we speak.

@winterbaby017: I also currently hold a full time job, but I still applied since I never know if they’re nice enough to throw some cash my way. Doesn’t hurt to apply.

I looked on last year’s thread too and some people’s changed only a couple of hours before the notifications went out (TFA, that’s cutting it close, no? hahah), so if that’s what you guys are looking for, no need to be worried about anything!

Thanks for the reassurance, c9chung Definitely need it as Tuesday approaches!!

Joining the thread!

Applied 1DL. Had a 35min phone interview. Made it to the final round; interviewed on Mon., 10/17 with an additional 35min interview. Listed many regions, although my highly preferred regions are the more “popular” areas.

As of right now, my status checker for transitional funding still says “under review”. The only thing that is keeping me hopeful is that one person from last spring had his checker change early, only to find out on admissions day that he was not accepted into the corps… Feel like he was the anomaly though, so everyone who has seen changes should feel pretty assured right now! :)

Good luck to everyone - just a few more days of waiting! :D

Welcome, iamthewalrus2012 I just wish I could step away from the Applicant Center and stop checking to see if my status has changed yet. I have a busy weekend though so hopefully that will be enough to keep me distracted! :D

Hi, iamthewalrus2012!

I just can’t wait for the waiting to be over either way! I want to get started on my TFA journey (if it’s in the cards for me, I will take the TFA position if offered to me, no matter where they place me) or be able to have my few days of tears and move on!

See, stories like your friend’s prove that we can never know either way. I really am not making too much of status changes at this point in the game. Decisions don’t come out until Tuesday. We’ll know then. For now, all we can do is hope. And hope. And worry on this thread! :D

I dont know about everyone else, but i feel like this entire week has been a blur. I have been so focused on waiting for the tfa response, i cant even tell you anything else that went on this week. smh! im going to choose to believe that all of this crazy behavior will be worth it in the end…
