Temple 2024

@nglaw1836 ur welcome. it was a really nice visit. u will love it. s20 is set on nursing and won’t be considering public health at temple.

Does anyone know if Temple ever increases award amounts as the May decision date comes closer? I mean this not as a tactic but as a way to decide whether it will be within our budget or not. My son needs to narrow his list of schools and cost is a huge determinant, as is true for most people.

@OceanIsle with my minimal experience for the 2017, 2019 and 2020 entrance years…i haven’t seen an increase in merit awards

Applied: 10/29
Accepted: 12/12
GPA: 3.9w
SAT: 1470
Major: Math

EC: Musical Theater (acting, directing), Orchestra/Violin, Arts Camp Counselor

I got accepted on 12/10 to the School of Science & Technology! My major is Neuroscience: Cell & Molecular

D20 rejected (how’s that folks I’m brave enough to admit it) from School of Nursing but accepted to School of Public Health. Has been accepted to FAU direct Nursing so she now has to decide what she wants more the school( she loves Temple) or the profession …

@nglaw1836 Sorry to hear she wasn’t accepted into the nursing program… good luck with whatever you/she choose!

Oh man, I’m so sorry to hear that @nglaw1836 . I’m glad she got into nursing at FAU. Which way do you think she’s leaning?

@nglaw1836 You are brave to share. It’s so cliche, but things do happen for a reason. I know that’s not much consolation now. Wishing your daughter all the best. She will land where she is meant to be.

@nglaw1836 she may also fall in love with FAU after your visit in January, S20 did!

@Orcus2020 Not sure At 17 how do you know what you really want. She loves the School at Temple, loves the City and and can see different options in the School of Public Health. That said we are visiting FAU since its a direct admission and it would be foolish not to check it out

The acceptance letter online is just one page with no mention of merit aid. Does that mean there is none?

@kimba3842 the scholarship info is in a separate letter underneath the acceptance letter

Ah - so in the physical packet they send and not on the online letter. Will just have to wait then!

@kimba3842 It should be on the online letter. Mine was in both the physical and the online. Send them an email or call because everyone else on the thread has had their merit in the online letter.

@izrk02 Thank you. I have sent an email. The online letter is just one page. Hoping there is something offered!

@kimba3842 yes…on line. i should have said online. there are two letters online. one is your acceptance letter than underneath that was a scholarship letter online.

Just read the letter, and realized D was named a Dean’s Scholar, which carries a $14,000 /year scholarship (OOS)!

@sad1010 Nope, just a one page letter:
