The Bangladeshi Thread

@theGame: I think she is from KGS…

i’m leaning towards berkeley becoz i want to be a part of the crowd!

apparently 40percent of berkeley undergrads are of asian ethnicity… compared to 30percent whites/hispanic/caucasian…so i’m not a minority anymore. Plus i don’t want to go to a handheld school, instead i want to learn to do things myself… which i’ll have to ultimately in life… a big reason for leaving my family behind and going all that way

but cornell is an ivy… and i guess smaller class relative to berkeley makes it an attractive choice

hard decision… but i guess i’ll go for UCB… GO BEARS !!

I support your decision. You’ll make a fine addition to Cal’s diversity index :)

Hey, I’m from Bangladesh as well.
I got accepted to Mount Holyoke College, McGill University and University of Waterloo, and I’ll be attending McGill from this Fall.

Congrats AnikaT. Are you from Scholastica?

Yes I am. How did you know?

i have a close friend from scholastica who’s attending mcgill now. Went there last year. you could get in touch with him if you need any help.

There is one thing students from Bangladesh should keep in mind: It’s not about what school you go to for the most part, it’s about how good you do when you are there and what you do with that knowledge. Heard of Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center?

In other news, anyone coming to university in Boston?

None of us here are differentiating among people according to the schools they go to. I have enough respect for every other school, and I’m sure so does everyone else. A question was asked, I answered it, and we were all just talking, that’s all.

I’m not saying you guys are differentiating specifically, but I have met Bengali students who have done so, and I feel sorry for them. It makes the humble Bengali ppl look bad.
And more importantly, I have been in university for about 2 years, so I am just giving some words of wisdom. Many people waste the knowledge they learn, or use it to only benefit them self and not society.

So anyone coming to Boston?

where are you from lordlockhart? and whre do u study in boston?

@AnikaT: I know nadiv from Scholastica who is going to stanford wid me. I think he might have told me about someone who is going to Mount Holyoke from Scholastica, dats how I guessed, lol.

Bangladeshi  Is this thread dead? =/
