Hey I got a phone interview, and it was super nice… My interviewer ended up telling me it was an amazing conversation and he hadn’t had such a good time in years… I mean it was soo like informal, both of us were cracking jokes and cracking up!! of course, I did let him drone a bit about his college, but end of it, it was something I really enjoyed! I wish, so wish, all other interviews too go like this…

I missed the U of C deadline for interview… Bummer!

@compscifan- thanks… I’ll prepare myself for the worst, I guess!

I don’t want Penn. Sorry guys. Ani, I wish you had gotten mine…
And yeah, I applied! I actually applied hours after the deadline. My friends at Penn said that they give good aid… but I’m not crazy about it really. More of a ‘what do I have to lose’ app.
Anyway, it was really fun. The graduate who interviewed me was from Wharton and she was super nice! But I’m almost sure that Penn interviews don’t make much difference. Another student who was interviewed in an adjacent meeting room said afterward that her interviewer started off by saying that the interview didn’t count in decisions. Only thing funny was that my interview at one point seemed to think Smith was my first choice. Very strange. :S Cleared it up though haha.

I got contacted for UChicago interview, but my interviewer seems to be quite lazy, takes a long time to reply and can’t settle on a convenient time.

desperado, hi again! which school was it for? Btw, I ended up applying to MHC! I think I like it more than Smith atm tbh.

compsci- My interview was actually in Gurgaon which is where you live, so I doubt geography plays a role. Very inconvenient location for me.

Pixie, HOW many schools did you apply to man? I applied to 11, with 2 financial safeties and one normal safety.

Its funny how I live in a “feeder city” (as pix puts it) but still I’m the only one from my city who is on cc! Heck, even pune has more active members here one than we do :|

As for the Penn interviews, the regional director said that they’re interviewing all applicants from Mumbai in Feb.

And debarghya, stop saying I<3PEN15 like jbubbles does.

Btw I hope that all asking-for-full-finaid applicants applied to 15+ schools. From what I noticed among users on cc last year (gary, quasi, etc), you apply to 15, get into 2 or 3. :|

Nice to meet u! I’m not sure still. I am looking at LAC’s and some big schools. Right now I am thinking of USC, Wellesley, Penn, Harvard, MHC. Anyone have any other ideas.
