The Indian Thread #20 (a)

^ The 25.5% was the overall acceptance rate. The international acceptance rate would be nearly the same.

Are any of you coming here for the campus visit weekends? :)

…and HELLO EVERYONE  It has been a while.

^ Still in the land of indecision, TheE? ;)

Yessir/ma’am, I am. Will have to make a decision soon, so I won’t be able to linger there much longer, haha! ;)

How’ve you been? :)

Ma’am
Must be a nice place to be in though, yes? MIT or Harvard. Harvard or MIT. Decisions, decisions :p

I’ve been great, though not any longer I’m afraid. SAT on May 5

You’ll be visiting the colleges/attending admitted student week(ends)?

It was while it lasted. I am very unwilling to leave. But tomorrow I will enroll in a certain place :p

Don’t be! Trust me, it’ll be fine. Anyways, SATs are not a gigantic factor in admissions!
All the best to you, ma’am! :)

I did attend the student weekends. It was an awesome, strange, interesting, unforgettable experience for me! :D

Whoa. Where is everyone?

TheE

Where do you plan on enrolling?

I’ve chosen Cal.

Yay, so many Indians going to Cal!

@TheEcnegilletni : Did you really attend the admit weekend at H?
How was the experience?

I think I’m back.

Or maybe not. I submitted my Columbia waitlist letter and a really awesome side video.

Last week of school. In fact, today is my last Tuesday of High School :D

Brace Yourselves. APs are coming.

Anyone already recd the I20 yet?

How long does it normally take to receive the I20 certificates from the colleges and then the visa processing?

Here is the stats on wait lists and acceptance 2012 Admission Decisions - Google Drive;
Interestingly, Columbia does not announce its wait list numbers.

query123 - which college are you going?

I’ll be going to Cal too :D, How many people here?

Since the UCs don’t differentiate their admissions statistics much, here’s what I found out: [Freshman admission data 2012-13](Freshman admission data 2012-13 | Berkeley News)

For *Fall 2012/i, the admit rate to Cal was 10.46%

UC Berkeley was more selective than Carnegie Mellon. And UCSD got 60000 applications. Wow.

(Engineering acceptance rate is even lower)

It seems it is getting harder every year.

Hi!!
Do you guys have any plans preparing a little bit academically for this fall?
