thecalccobra-
I don't remember "Over 70" as an answer choice. I distinctly remember putting "Over 50" as my answer... Did I misread the choices?

Oh Sorry. Yeah, 70 was not the answer choice, it was over 50 which was D. So I got D. Did you also get that?

yeah.
We should try to compile all of the answers that we can think of.

English:
Endowing (or dishing out/contributing)
The lead singer also plays the alto sax makes the most sense.
The fisherman thing doesn't fit in the narrative, because it contradicts the free nature that the author feels underwater.
The order of the sentences in the diver reading was 2,1,3.
The diver capitalized "on" his training.
A lot of underlined selections simply didn't belong.

Math:
60 degrees of two of the pie chart questions
100 tan (20) for the height of something
2^0 = 1 (not even)
11 minutes for phone call
(0, +/-6) for the circle question

Reading:
daughter show tender care for her mother in last paragraph?
the orchid passage, author mentioned the most about light conditions?
most confident part of jump rope = getting in
good jump rope is NOT soft

Science:
The key said "saturated air", so the answer was 100% relative humidity.
The air pocket thing released at 2 P.M. had the greatest drop in temperature per unit time.
The raw grains of sand had to be ground up because otherwise light woudln't pass through them.
The sand came from the offshore dunes.
DNA from nucleus
20 bases
Energy only came from the charged capacitor (II only).

50 for the last question

Add anything that you can think of.

Wait..... Are you positive that endowing was the correct answer? I was actually stuck between that and dished up...and after pondering it for 1 min I decided to go ahead with dished up mainly because it's slang..and ACT doesn't like to use slang.

So, that was my 2 cent reasoning.

I am not positive but it is my best guess. It seemed to me that endowing didn't quite fit in.

Definition = give qualities or abilities to

The musicians weren't giving their qualities/abilities to the music. However, I may be remembering the sentence structure incorrectly. To me, the passage was informal enough to allow the slang "dishing out."

Wait, quick question..... what exactly was the answer to that finding the vertex question?? I got (ab, cd) ...however, some people have said that it was something like (a+b, c+d) and I don't see how that would have worked because if you added a+b to get x, the actual 'x' that you could pinpoint from the graph was less than a+b and same goes for c+d....so i said ab and cd because if you actually multiplied the a and b coordinate points you could actually guesstimate that thats how long the 'x' was.....BLAHH I suck at explaining my reasonings but i hope someone can make sense of my reasoning..

Hmm.....yeah you def. have a point there...I guess the only way we can be 100% sure is if someone can actually come up with the sentence. However, you did say that you got a 34 on that practice test and that you're expecting a 35-36 so I doubt if yours is the wrong answer.

Are you talking about the parallelogram question?

If so, the answer I put was indeed (a+b, c+d). I don't know how to explain this without the actual picture but it is based on the fact the the slopes of parallel sides must be equal.

Check above...that wasn't me =)

"Hmm.....yeah you def. have a point there...I guess the only way we can be 100% sure is if someone can actually come up with the sentence. However, you did say that you got a 34 on that practice test and that you're expecting a 35-36 so I doubt if yours is the wrong answer."

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH yeah I know what you mean now....danggit

Ohh ok i feel soo much better now haha

The same guy thinks that "endowed" is the correct answer also.

Geeeez where is everyone? Threads like these are never this quiet.

There goes my 36 math and 36 english

for where the sand came from..i got teh dunes, but not the off shore ones..anyone else get anything different for that?

After reading through this I definitaly failed on this test...I took one practice test and got a 32 so I decided to go into this one without any practice and see how I could do (since not every test has to be submitted). Well....definitaly didn't get a 32 after reading through this thread. Maybe I'll just stick with the SAT--get my 2nd scores back this week.

By the way:
I put "endowed"
"Life in action!"

and from like 2-3 pages ago...
I kept the goosebumps comment because it introduced the cold

And I got rid of the one about the fisherman but I dont remember why. I think only one of the "No;......" ones made sense though

Just saw post above me...I put something like offshore underwater ocean dunes or something. At first I didn't see figure 1 so I was wondering how in the hell I was suposed to know which sand is best for mining...then I noticed the other table/figure and saw I just had to match their compositions and colored sands up.

Compiled List:

Wait

So the ''Life in action'' is correct and ''goosebumps'' should have stayed?

what were the options involving dunes? sry just trying to remember what i put
