The Performing Arts Project

We also stayed at the Courtyard Marriott… Which I think was the hotel the TPAP staff used as well.

Thank you motherofC and MTmom2015! I appreciate your help.

@sloopysnoop, we stayed at the Best Western Plus at the Haynes Mall. It was about 10 minutes brand away from Wake Forest, but it was newly renovated and super inexpensive…about $65/night.

Thank you @Bogeyw. I am looking at options. The Marriott Courtyard, Marriott and Embassy Suites are booked, so it looks like the hotels are filling up! It’s nice to get a thumbs up on a place instead of just counting on tripadvisor.

OOO and you can always eat at Tripps near Hanes Mall! I eat there at least once a week. (I might have a problem)

I’m wondering too about how TPAP compares to MPulse in terms of intensity of the program, pool of talents, and college audition prep. Anyone?

@titanic22 I can’t speak to all of your question, but my D attended TPAP the summer before her freshman year of college. She still talks about its impact 2 years later. It was very intense - but very collaborative. The talent level by my observation was top notch. I can’t speak to comparing it with MPulse as she never attended that. And as she had already completed her audition cycle, she was part of the pre-professional group, which didn’t include college audition prep. I do know that many reps from colleges came to the program and specific all met with the pre-college group - including reps from Texas State, Carnegie Mellon and more. I do know that she highly recommends the program to anyone who asks her about it.

I received the same message from their program through acceptd. Still thinking about auditioning, yet I do not know what the project is like.

TPAP is an excellent program.

@broadwaybabyyy my daughter was a part of Company 1 and Company 2… I really don’t have enough words to say what that program did for her. It was an experience that truly changed her life.

Per TPAP website, they have BluePrint (2 week) & Panorama (3 week) programs. Did they have something similar to this last year or just one program? Thanks in advance!

TPAP auditions/applications for this year closed on February 21.

I realize this thread is more than a year old… my daughter is applying for Blueprint. We are doing a video audition, any advice, or tips?

@KTVoice tell her to be herself! They want to get to know the individual. Love TPAP!!! My daughter still says it changed her life.

How many kids does tpap accept into the blueprint program?

It says they’re first round audition date has passed but they’re still taking submissions. I might submit then.

@MTmama19 Did you ever find out how many get accepted I would be interested to know.

My D sent in a video audition. She got an email saying they would know by the end of the first week in March.

Good luck @mtkb17 my D had a great time putting the video audition together.

My D was waitlisted for TPAP… but accepted to OCU… was hoping for the close to home option!

I hope others got good news tonight!

Just got our TPAP acceptance late last night

D (rising junior) received her TPAP acceptance just now. Well, acceptance for Blueprint, waitlisted for Panorama. So now we will be deciding between TPAP and Artsbridge. She was also accepted to OCU, and would have been thrilled to return (she loves OCU), but we are encouraging her to try something different and not put all her eggs in the OCU basket. If anyone has thoughts comparing Artsbridge and TPAP, we’d love to hear!
