@clareraquel: No, and even if there were, you wouldn’t be able to choose your room or floor.

They haven’t finished renovating all of Jester East yet so it doesn’t make sense for them to move on.

~I’m a female here, and I’ll be here for all your blunt info needs past the summer.~

For Jester, how many rooms typically share a bathroom?

Is it common to have to wait to take a shower at certain times (mornings before classes)?

i still haven’t been notified on where im going to live. I know it’ll take a few weeks but august is almost here and i turned in my housing contract on may (i was still waiting on the school to notify me off their waitlist which didn’t happen). Idk if that is super late but am I supposed to look anywhere past the my housing status page?

^ Call housing.

oh great i guess i would have to. I always have to call the school for everything, this is getting to be a little irritating.

Well, I know most of the students got their housing assignments, so not many can answer whats going on with your application better than housing itself. I call 99% of the time as well.

What are the connecting bathrooms in Jester like? Are there multiple stalls, or just one? Are the showers any more spacious than the communal ones?

Anyone living in Prather? Second year student here

Is there enough space in the drawers provided for clothes, or should I get some kind of plastic unit with drawers for shorts, etc? Anything else I need to know about San Jac?

Thanks!

Does San J require a shower curtain or does it have a glass door? Also, it is hard to tell by the pic but does it have closet doors?

By the picture, I think it has a shower curtain.

emptynester-- I brought 2 large bins for under the bed to put seasonal clothes in and another plastic storage unit that has 3 drawers. I’m considering getting another plastic drawer unit this year too but I’ll wait to get it in Austin after I’ve unpacked to see if I really need it and/or have the space for it.

Shower curtain and it’s provided

I just received my housing assignment today, and found out I got a room in Kinsolving. It wasn’t even one of my five choices, so I’m kind of confused. I would rather be in Jester (as strange as that sounds lol). Does anyone know what the chances are of that happening? Is Jester already filled up?

^ You might be able to find somebody in Jester who wants to move to Kinsolving, and then just talk to DHFS to switch.

Does anybody know if San Jac dorms have built-in safes?

I don’t think any of the dorms have built in safes…

Ok, so is it best to bring a lock box or even a small safe to store valuables?

What kind of valuables? Who is stealing those things? And they would just steal the box you keep them in anyway…
