Thank you! :-)

no way, i got in with way crappier scores than you 3.4 and 1300 on my SATs so you should get in, if you wanna go thre then you sould definatley appeal

Yeah especially since they are number driven
and dont look at character like UC's to decide, your index
is pretty high.
are you in-state? or chose an impacted major?

maybe application problem? whaaaaaaaaat? :-(((
that's not fair at all! :-(

ive heard that story too, i dont believe it

who knows :-)

it's not that selective

i just wanted to add, from my knowledge and friends that go there... that SDSU is not really a good school academically, its strictly a PARTY SCHOOL, as is UC Santa Barbara.

college is what you make of it, dont stereo type it like that, its true theres alot of drinking, but academics is just about you hitting the books no matter where you go to college...i know plenty of people who go there and strictly party...thats way to classify a college with 30,000 people "strictly party scvhool?"

People who got admitted!!!

did your get your decisions on Tuesday?

i got my acceptance sometime last week..
not sure if its an tues,.. have to check the date of the post

Man!
I still have nothing!!!
Should I call?
I know, they've made their decisions; they posted the averages.. What's wrong.. I don't get it :-(

Yan4ik, yes you should call. It will put you at ease, and if they screwed up and didn't process your stuff, they will get on it now. Good luck, and let us know.

yea you should call.. nothing to lose.
its too bad you're not an international, because theres this really nice lady who will reply every email about admission status
everytime i had problems or questions i would just email her and she would reply

can you copy-paste what your admission status say?

Yes, I will call right now and find out what'a going on.

Here's what it says:

We have received your application for admission. We are pleased that you have chosen to apply to San Diego State University for the fall semester.

Your application for the Fall semester is currently being reviewed. If additional information is needed to determine your eligibility for admission to SDSU, you will be contacted by telephone, mail or e-mail. It is critical that you keep your address current with the Office of Admissions.

That's it.
I seriously just don't get it. Maybe they are sending it out or something?
Anyways, I will find out when I call.

Thank you!

OK, guys I just called.

Good news, I am not denied.. yet.

Bad news, a problem with my school again.

First, my art course, now guess what.. my English courses.
The thing is, for English course this year I am taking Media and Culture and Humanities. For some reason they decided that those courses are not English courses based on the school description in the panthlet that they sent in February.

You can't imagine how mad I am right now.

I know that those courses are English courses, otherwise, I would not be graduating this year, because school requires 4 credits for English.

So, I talked to the lady and asked to put someone from admissions on the line, but she said none of them are there, so tomorrow a supervisor is going to give me a call. I am thinking to get the full course description tomorrow, talk with a supervisor, if that won't satisfy, I'll make my counselor talk to these people and xerox the course description again.

Whew, guys. I like felt it! Frustrating stuff. I am not lucky on this! :-(

Whoever still waiting -- they are going to make final decisions this Friday. So hang in there.

But.. I think it's only me.. brrr.. :-(

See, it is a good thing you called. You might want to have your counselor write a letter explaining that it is an english course and satisfies your school's graduation requirement for senior english. When you speak with an admissions person, explain that you have already asked your school to do this and they are prepared to fax the letter right away to whomever SDSU wants it sent to. It is unfortunate that they didnt' bother to tell you this earlier so that you could have had it all handled by now. Good luck.

Yes, I want my counselor to call them for sure tomorrow. I'll ask for the supervisor's or whoever's fax tomorrow by phone and send it on Thursday.
The thing that drives me is that my eligibility index is good for admission. I am glad that they did not just reject me because of this. She said they are just wandering about the courses, so maybe if I'll do this one right, I'll get in. And THEN I'll feel like I deserve it!

Thank you for yor support!

Well you do deserve it. And how were you supposed to find out what the problem was? Were they just going to make an administrative decision without letting you know? Anyway, it looks like you have it under control. Keep us posted.

OK.
Here's a deal.

I was rejected.

But... because they did not get the information on my courses before making a decision I can write a letter to the court of appeal and they are going to review my application again.

I wrote my letter already. As they requested, my counselor also is going to send my transcript + her letter explaining the situation + the description of the English courses that I am taking.

I am sending it tomorrow, Friday. They are going review it next week and it takes them up to 2 weeks to do it. Maybe a little longer.
I talked to one of the admission people who will control the process, so I will be updated on that stuff. After the decision, they usually change it on the WebPortal or they just send a letter.

So, one more try for me, guys. First, I was killed when I saw a decision on the Web Portal, but now I have a liiiiiittle hope.

Does anyone know how this Court of Appeals works? Maybe someone went through this process before?

Any information will be very helpful!!!

you basically send in information they didnt already have that you think will help them make a better decision...good luck!
