I ended up changing my sample as I was walking out the door to the post office!

@katcampagna Nice one! I had a hard time choosing my sample as well… but for me it’s because I am just plain awful at decision-making sometimes.

Did anyone else get their postcard back today?

@katcampagna Not me. When do they send back the postcards? Is it when they make their decisions, because if so, that will happen on April 17 I think.

@WishUponThisStar
I got mine in the mail today!

@katcampagna Ah, completely misunderstood your post. Well, hopefully it’s because of my location is so far away from Davis that it is take so long!

Received the post card yesterday that confirmed they received my app. I probably just received it now because of my distance from UC Davis. Now comes the real suspense!!!

I received mine as well!

Have you guys heard back yet?
I know it says “by April 17th” but I’m getting so impatient/nervous!

@wheeyoshi I have not but I am just like you. I am so nervous about the decision. April 17 is taking way too long to get here!!!

Sent from my Nexus 4 using CC

do you think they’ll let us know if we were rejected before then?

I’m actually impressed that they’re barreling through all these applications in 2 weeks.

@wheeyoshi Agreed, especially since there are hundreds and hundreds of applications. But I would think that they’d tell the rejected apps first. I’m not sure though, do other programs usually do that?

I heard somewhere that all the emails go out at once. 3 days left!

@catch221 Ahh, the suspense. It’s good that UC Davis organized everything. I just don’t know if I’m going to be able to sum up the courage to open the email on the 17th.

@catch221
I sure hope I get my email ASAP. but I don’t know if I’d have the courage to open it… I’m such a chicken >.< It was just like this with SAT scores
@WishUponThisStar
how many people (estimate) would you say applied?

@wheeyoshi As per their Facebook page:

“About 360 submitted applications online - we’re still working on opening and processing all of the mailed in packets so not sure yet how many complete applications we have!”

And I get nervous before checking my grades so I’m a lot worse than you.

The wait is going to kill me but the email is going to be even worse.

Sent from my Nexus 4 using CC

I’m most scared about the fact that my application was missing the second receipt confirmation for the teacher rec because my math teacher never forwarded it to me. But then again that’s my fault for not asking earlier ahhhhhhhhhh

If they sent you your postcard back, they accepted your application as completed.
So that should answer your question

Were the essays 200 characters or words? I just realized I did 200 words and past applicants on CC mentioned the restrictive 200 CHARACTER limit?! I may have just realized that I ruined my hopes and dreams of having an amazing summer by not reading directions.

I am SO nervous for this v_____v; (even though I don’t think there’s a very good chance I’ll get in, tbh). How do you know the email comes out on the 17th?
BTW… you might not have to open your email to know if you got accepted… I think maybe most acceptance emails say something like “Congratulations!” as the title or something I dunno it just makes sense that it would.
