I have a question about the business assured enrollment – did his acceptance to the assured enrollment show up under special opportunities (like next to the honors college acceptance)?
they only take ~70 kids a year for assured enrollment
D22 just checked. Accepted OOS without any scholarship. Since she has full scholarship at GIT, she will pick GIT.
It’s under Special Opportunities - Honors and Assured Enrollment:Business.
Yes, the assured enrollment for business showed up under Special Opportunities right below the Honors Carolina entry
from the KF info session that we had attended, the administrative officer said that about 140-150 are selected via assured enrollment for undergrad business. About half of them accept.
We didn’t do the CSS profile for the same reasons and little potential benefit.
What is GIT?
Did anyone find out about Chancellor’s Science Scholars yet?
Anyone have insight about sophomore guaranteed admission?
Did Chapel Hill defer any applicants during the EA round this year?
My older son said that finalist were announced today. It was on The CSS instagram page. My younger son is going to be disappointed, since he doesn’t have anything in his portal about it.
They do not defer. Accept, reject or waitlist.
Thanks so much for the response! Does that mean you can get into the school, but not into the program or do they both go together?
Accepted OOS. Have to accept offer
Of admission within 2 wks? Not May 1?
Check again … my daughter’s changed back to May 1st.
Congrats!! My son was accepted as well. He did not see any mention of the assured enrollment program for business. Did you receive a separate admissions letter saying you got in that or how did you know?
I see the special opportunities tab but that appears to be just what he indicated when applying. Thanks for any tips!
But her acceptance letter says “pls respond within 2 wks of receiving your decision.” Hmmm
Portal did change to May 1…thx!
Were assured enrollment acceptances for the various programs at UNC communicated with these acceptances or do they get communicated later?
They were communicated along with acceptances
