Did any unfortunate soul receive a large envelope with a brochure and letter, and then proceeded by a letter with a plain white UChicago logo’d shirt?

@Ace6904: You are not the only one. My documents on the tracking list all disappeared as well… I guess that just means your application is under review?

@Trollz4daLULZ: Why is that supposed to be unfortunate? I feel it is a good sign.

Also, anyone see any change in the “Post-Decision Material” menu? Mine has added items like “Int’l Financial Resource Doc” and “Passport.” Anyone else has these items in the menu?

It’s unfortunate because it’s an irony. =P

Those options have been available for awhile on the system so that international applicants could submit their documents quicker.

Hi, I’m also a current student who transferred here last year. Here is the link to the facebook group that ChunkyChild created:

I’m also willing to answer questions :)

They will not send out the letters until May, right?

I found out I got in on May 6th. I found out online. There was a link on the portal that led me to my admissions letter. I got the packet in the mail about a week/week and a half later.

So a day in May, which we dont know which day, there will be a magical link on the tracking page which determines which school we will go to for the next 2/3 years. Love U of C.

I like the way Chicago does it so we can actually go online and check
I am so so so so nervous… the acceptance rate is not terribly low comparing to cornell but it is still EXTREMELY competitive

I though Chicago was late, but I’m not going to hear back from CMU until June!

3.9 GPA at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs
30 ACT
Air Force veteran

Already got into the Colorado School of Mines and UNC, but Chicago is my #1 and CMU #2.

A few weeks left until the decision date…

I thought only about 2 weeks left?!!!

Wait… so if I am international I have to do all that stuff UChicago posted on additional info? I thought it was not required unless UChicago says they need it

edit: nvm i read it again and it says i can “disregard” it if they didnt ask for it

close call lol

I am an international student too. I asked them if I need to upload anything. They replied no, they are only for admitted students. So, no worries! (:

Thanks kameow

kameow: if last year is anything to go by, only 12 days! But I don’t want to get my hopes up, so I’m trying to keep my countdown to mid-May, although you can bet your bottom dollar I’ll be checking every single day.

I can’t waitttt, my interview went so well I’m really hoping to get in

JetLogic, why do you say it went well? Tell us about it, haha.

Well I’m a math major and my interviewer was a chem PhD who also happened to share similar math interests. We ended up talking for about an hour at Panera, mostly on random tangents about research and world politics. He told me that he thought I would make an excellent fit at UofC and was going to give me a top recommendation.

I know interviews aren’t supposed to matter that much, but I really enjoyed mine and I’m hoping that it’ll prove positive regarding my decision.

@Jet Wow…I’m jealous! Mine went well too! I had mine on campus and our conversation went a little over an hour. I wish you the best of luck!

@cordova, you’re jealous of me? I would’ve loved to have mine on campus, I love Chicago! Instead I had to do mine in California. One up to you
