pri1994, I’m sure you could. My acceptance has the condition that I need to have my AA before enrollment. I would call to double check though

what major did you apply for?

Linebob I applied for health science. After my BA I want to apply for the school of physician assistants.

Collagendavoli thank you that’s what heard as well. But I just found out that I actually have one more class left to take in the summer. I’ll be taking it in summer A. And I get to apply for graduation in March

Hello, I applied to UF back in October 28 for fall 2014 . I didn’t send my transcript till January 10. My gpa is 3.9 and I am majoring in political science. I am still waiting for their decision . It says" Your application for admission to the University of Florida for the Fall 2014 term has been received. Please allow 2-4 weeks for an initial review of your application by the Admissions Office. I’s been way more than 4 weeks. What should I do?

Sshatil, I applied September 13th and I just got my acceptance last week to CLAS. I’d give it a bit more time, especially if your major is highly competitive

Does anyone know the average of Biology majors getting accepted as transfers? I also know the accepted GPA is 3.5 is that the average as well?? Sounds like a dumb question but if someone gets what I am asking? Lol

@Lthomas12,

My gf is currently waiting on a response. She applied as a biology major and is carrying a 4.0. From what I’ve read on college confidential, UF is pretty accurate about 3.5gpa or above to be competitive for the biology program (have only read of 3.6+ being accepted into the biology transfer). I also believe–from what I’ve read on CC-- that the biology decisions are usually done within first couple of weeks of February. In any case keep your hopes up and with a 3.5+ you shouldn’t have too much of a problem transferring in (that is if there’s enough space of course).

Hi!
I’m really new to this site lol I usually lurk but I finally made an account.
Broward College
Current GPA: 3.35 (I’m gonna raise it lol)
Major: Psychology
Term: Fall 2014
I only need 12 more credits but I have to take Stats over the summer because I suck at math :/

Hi dimitra that’s awesome! I just found out that I have to complete my courses by summer A in order to be considered. I have 3 classes left

Georgia Southern University
Current GPA: 4.0
College/Major: CLAS - Biology
Term applied: Fall 2014

First time ever using this website or posting anything. EC’s include organic chemistry TA and some volunteering/research. I applied January 20th and am hoping for the best!

Thanks pri1994
If I graduate during the summer it’ll be on Aug. 11th. Is that too late? I’ll have 57 credits by the end of this Semester and I’ll just need the last 3 for my AA.

dimitra1220-definitely raise it to at least a 3.5! You’ll need that to be considered for psychology!! Good luck! =)

I’m still waiting, I applied back in September! Good thing UF was my back-up. I like to plan ahead. lol

I’m trying to transfer to UF for Summer A 2014. I am applying to the CALS biology major. I have all of the prereqs done. I’m scared that I won’t get in because of my GPA. Right now I have a 3.58 overall. However after this semester, it should bump up a few points. My GPA in the preprofessional classes that they focus on is only a 2.94. If I get an A in Biology 2 that is in progress right now, I will have a 3.15. I made a C in Calc 1, it brought it down quite a bit.

I’m so scared I’m not going to be accepted.

Any advice?

Ah omg! Just saw my application has been referred to my college for a final decision!!! The wait is going to kill me haha!

…good thing UCF is my 2nd choice, I don’t think they’re that competitive…Lol is it even possible for me to raise from a 3.35 to a 3.5?

I’m pretty sure UCF is a bit selective, but yeah, I’m sure UF is more so! Yes, you could raise to a 3.5! You need to make sure you do very well in each of your classes this semester though. I would aim for all A’s!! You probably won’t get a decision until you send your final transcript showing a 3.5 or above though.

I submitted my app to UF for Fall 2014 a couple weeks ago. Today, it was referred to CLAS.,

St. Petersburg College
Current GPA:3.847
College/Major: CLAS - Astronomy (Hope to do Astronomy/History dual major)
Term applied: Fall 2014

Anybody have any idea how long it usually takes CLAS to approve?

Good luck to all!

Wow, I don’t know what’s up with them! I submitted my app Sept. 28th, and it has yet to be sent to CLAS!

Crystalnthe80s, if its taking that long for your app to be sent to the final step, then its because they are missing details. You need to check if you missed sending them any transcripts or any information, or otherwise they won’t make a final decision without it.
