Hey @EconDon23 , the University of Maryland website says that the Spring 2018 Transfer application decision is going to be mid-October. I’d die if it was mid-December! That decision date is probably for incoming Freshmen.
You’re right! @Carlos303. I had a question for everyone, why did you guys choose to apply to Maryland? What interests you about UMD? What Programs or extracurriculars are you looking forward to?
@EconDon23, I applied to Maryland for their Kinesiology program. I’m looking forward to joining the Latin club and possibly the volleyball club.
Anyone here looking at, or interested in potentially rushing a fraternity or sorority?
Just called and the guy said that we may not hear back until the end of next week. Was really hoping that we were going to hear last week, but now I’m just hoping we hear this week at this point.
It seems like the past few semesters they have been a week or two later than usual in sending out decisions for transfers. Really sucks
Guys I got my decision
Got in!!! Congrats to the rest of you guys who got in!
I didn’t get accepted but I’m in MTAP and meet all the requirements. I’m surprised!
I got in!!! I’m super surprised because I only did 1 semester of community college (and 2 summer terms). I’ll see you guys in the spring!!!
I got in as well, congrats to those who got in, and to those who did not, best of luck in everything else.
Congrats @Carlos303 haha the turns that life gives you. I wonder at what point we find out if we get into our engineering majors. Did yours say anything about your major?
wait, if it says my academic major is Aerospace Engineering under the letter of admission, does that mean
I got in straight to the major I chose?
@ChalatecoSV congratulations! You were a shoe-in with your academic credentials. My major says Letters and Sciences because I’m only in my second semester of Community college, I’m not at the point of taking my core Major classes. But if you’re says the major then I would say you’re in!
Got in, congrats to everyone else who did as well and good luck in the future who those who didn’t (I’ve been in your shoes before with UMD, just takes some persistence). go terps and see you all in the spring!
I meet all the requirements and participated in MTAP but got rejected. Should i appeal?
How come you guys recieved your decisions? I haven’t received any email from them.
@Yvanne What do you mean by meet all the requirements? Do you mean obtaining your associates degree? If that’s the case, then you should be automatically accepted. Granted that you maintained at least a 3.00 GPA.
@aspringtobedoc If there was a missing document preventing them from make a decision, that may be the reason. I would call them first thing in the morning.
I got in! I was so nervous bc of my stats! My GPA sucked! But, my research experience balanced it heavily! See you all in the Spring!
