University of Miami Class of 2019 Early Action Results

last year the kids got their results when they were on 28…not 63

I got my admissions decision from UVA on a Friday night - the email to check the decision online was at 6:10 PM. So there’s still a chance we can get it tonight.

Lol… We are a wild bunch

UF is looking to increase diversity. So they are actually looking for more out of state students.

@Mfrias Isn’t that what makes the U so great? :wink:

It’s all about the U baby, now give me liberty or give me death!

Is the green dot on Canelink good or bad?

we are not starting that again please

Villanova’s decisions were released on their portal around 7 PM and BC mailed their decisions but their portal had changes that inferred acceptances at midnight (Sunday into Monday). So I’m thinking they can release decisions any time they want to. However, if last year was 2 pm which someone said earlier, that’s not a great sign. It’s out of our hands!

@kbye90 sorry I just got here, can I have a refresher

As with any in-state school, UF’s duty is to Florida residents first. They’re subsidized to accept Florida students as priority. And trust me, there’s a ton of diversity in Florida of all places lol

No one knows what it means and some think its bad, some think it doesn’t mean anything

Ok so I was going through Twitter and at 1:17 some girl got accepted to law school at UM. And at 2:07 another girl posted about being officially accepted to grad school at the U… Seems like they are not coming out today for undergrads

@Katarzyna‌ you must be a Florida girl :wink:

I wonder if the admission officers know how frustrating and awful waiting is

Not racial diversity. Geographic diversity. Obviously you know where their “priority” is. But look at schools like Bama. Their “priority” is to Alabama students. Yet the student body is 60% OOS. UF wants to become more like that. I spoke to an adcom. And we can obviously look towards the monetary benefits of having more OOS full pay students.

@wgeller‌ Haha sure am! :stuck_out_tongue:

@CaliCash‌ I hope you’re right! Thanks for the feedback! While we wait, does anyone know how I can get rid of my turtle picture? He’s cute, but I’m having some regrets. I didn’t realize there were no refunds on the profile picture

@Mfrias it’s not the same thing. They can and do both at the same time. Lots of schools do rolling grad school
