I have a feeling those of you who havent received your decisions will get notified today around 5-6.
isn’t it weird that in a few months (some of us) will meet each other? and maybe it’ll come up in conversation that we all sat waiting for our decisions and talking on college confidential? i don’t know, i just think it’s insane that some of us will end up being friends with each other
@kppgv7 same I get that feeling too!
@lboulder and i’ve totally thought about that haha it IS crazy!
Just plucked up the courage to check Cane Link. Still nothing new. Almost relieved at this point. Most of my apps were RD so I have a long wait. EA acceptances so far are Boston College and FSU Honors Program (also invite to apply to Presidential Scholars and MD Scholars program @ FSU) - will hear from UF next week. No green dot.
Waiting for UF as well. At this point, I’m thinking that if you didn’t hear back yet, it’s an acceptance or a rejection. Rejections are unlikely straight out of EA though
@killian1989 you’ll get in for sure, you got into BC, which is way more competitive that Miami!
@Paniniman I wouldn’t make any guarantees. People do get rejected from matches and safeties and get accepted by their reach school. It’s yield protection.
@CaliCash its a really low chance tho, its like at least 95% chance that @killian1989 will get in
What to you think it means if I had that green dot application window at the bottom of student center only to have it dissapear yesterday around 10 AM?
I am from southern Mass.
Have not recieved anything in the mail.
good luck to everybody waiting, and deferred!
I agree @CaliCash. Everywhere is so competitive and there are so many strong candidates. Who knows what tips the scales in an applicant’s favor - test scores, extracurriculars, etc. I hear UF is a crap shoot these days - anything can happen. Have heard of many people who thought they were a for sure who did not get in.
I have the green dot still, and no answer
anyone else have this? I’m afraid since most people with green dots got deferred that mine might be a rejection. I’m in IL btw
Still nothing here in the land of Kansas.
Is it true that UF is a lottery?
UF is not a lottery.
From what I’ve read, UF is a lottery. You have to have a certain minimum of scores/ECs/etc… but from that point it’s a lottery.
UF is harder to get into UM for out of staters. I live in MA, my D is a sophomore at UM, she got in EA but was rejected by UF.
Let’s not make people nervous about even more schools!
Almost to the 100th page. LMAO did this happen last year? Were they on the 100th page before decisions were released because we are crazyyyyy!
@mumof2 Well, yes. OOS students will always have a harder time getting into public universities that aren’t in their state since it technically the university’s duty (and what they’re subsidized for) to accept students from their state. I got into UMASS Amherst as an OOS student though, so I was pretty happy about that, but UF is just a tough school.
We were on 70 this morning. Just wait until the next wave of decisions come out and we will reach 200!
