@djones97 what was your course load freshman and sophomore year?

@zmayes freshman year I was in one honors class but then Sophomore year 2 honors and 1 AP (allowed to take just one AP sophomore year).
Can you guys posting your SATs do it only with CR and math since that’s the way UM does things?

That was to accept financial aid awards. The other one has the year 2016 Miami Inquiry access currently denied
@djones97 I honestly don’t see why you weren’t accepted, maybe Miami does keep track of interest? If I were you I would anticipate being accepted the second time and would schedule a visit if possible, I don’t see them denying you.
@Zhayes Lots of people with @Djones97 stats get rejected and deferred. You can’t just look at stats. That’s why chance Me’s are so inaccurate. We never see the full pic. He still has a chance to get in though, which is good. It could’ve been a multitude of reasons. We don’t need people to start freaking out because they didn’t demonstrate interest.
No gonna lie, I feel really stupid now. I told my friends and family I would find out this week and they keep messaging me and I’m like “nope, nothing yet!” I still don’t see how they could find a way to put their domestic accepted students last, but accept int’l a week in advance and send out deferrals. That just doesn’t make sense to me. We met their deadlines. All that system maintenance for what? The portal looks exactly the same and no decision is up. If they can do system maintenance for 12 hours in the middle of the night, I’m sure to office of admissions could program their systems to release decisions by region without someone physically being present.
@CaliCash same, i’m so frustrated! My parents ask me every day and I just shrug.
@CaliCash Feeling the same way! I told people it would be Feb 1st and then Feb 6th. Now it’s the 8th and I’m fairly certain that UF will be out before UM! This is getting ridiculous. I submitted my app months ago, visited the campus on two occasions, and I really don’t understand what’s going on with this school. However I’m really not surprised with their lack of care to their applicants. My parents both went to UM and agree this is just like them to behave this way. Even when my dad went there in the 70’s and they weren’t even half the school they are today, they were still this complacent. Top 50 or not, they haven’t changed.

Unfortunately unless I get offered a pretty hefty scholarship, I won’t be going. I’m aiming for med school in the long run so I need to go where’s economically best for undergrad, even though UM is gorgeous and I’d love to go there ;n;

For those interested if you haven’t done so already, you can check out UM’s 2014-2015 Common Data Set, Section C7, to see what importance UM places on the variety of academic and non-academic factors in making a decision. For example, “level of applicant’s interest” is “considered”.
So no one has any estimate as to when the rest of the decisions are going to be released?
