The deferred kids do not have the Feb grades thing

No one has the Feb grades thing, only the people who have not heard yet have it.
@bella08790 I do NOT think they reject at EA…its accept or deferred!!!

@jdawg24 - my son has almost the exact same stats as you and was accepted today to CoE OOS, so I don’t think they just auto-defer high stats kids. He has zero hooks as well (no connections to UMich, white, upper-middle class kid).
I think it comes down to the essays and recommendations and how well they think you’ll fit at the school.
@bella08790 - someone posted earlier that they called and UMich said they don’t reject anyone in EA. They only accept or defer.

Accepted to Engineering, OOS, 4.0 UW 36 ACT.
Is it really true that overqualified students get deferred? If that’s true, I’m feeling pretty bad
@loading22 did you previously see the mid-Fed grade request thing before getting accepted?
JUST GOT AN EMAIL: DEFERRED
just got the email, my portal still hasn’t updated. deferred, OOS, IB Diploma, 2 APs, 31 ACT, 4.2 WGPA, lots of ECs and leadership roles. ugh.
