Im wondering if oos kids who got “in state tuition” or other bigger merit ($87k etc) in their acceptance letters also applied to honors college?
And it sounded like a few kids got into honors in their acceptance letter???

My son is OOS and received the “at least $86K” award and also applied to Honors. No answer on HC yet though.

There’s a scholarship tier on the school website my daughter found. We were the $40k group. I’m wondering if we can submit mid term grades to get to the next level.
She applied to honors but hasn’t heard yet. I also wonder if honors college = more $

Asked that two years ago and was told no. They do not look at anything senior year.
Question- if you are OOS and get some merit with acceptance- is it possible to get more in March? Or if you ask them for more money in order to accept do they negotiate? Or maybe you get into honors college in February - does it come with more merit?
I asked our admission rep that question. It is possible but they do not know at this point. Once all applicants have been chosen for the class, the pool is complete and they are in competition with each other. So each year will be different because the applicant pool stats are different. Merit/scholarship is then chosen from final applicants and distributed, hence the wait until spring to know. This is just my understanding of what I have been told.

Yay!!! DD in Honors! So happy for her and she found out that she gets direct admit into nursing, meaning she doesn’t have to apply her sophomore year! I think her decision has been made! Go ■■■■■!

In the honors letter it says…
“Be sure to watch for your scholarship offer coming in March. All Honors College freshmen qualify for a merit award from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions”
Does anyone know if that is in addition to merit already offered?
I think so. In the honors college information session they did say there will be additional merit.

Did people who got Honors notification already receive merit offers in their original acceptance letter? I am wondering if only a few select people are being notified since honors decisions aren’t supposed to come out until February.
