An AA or AS degree won’t automatically transfer all your credits for your program?
@Jdrew153 I emailed someone about that a while ago. She said that there are potentially errors, but they will review your transcripts and equivalencies if you’re accepted (I think).
Has anyone else picked courses and/or signed leases at their home university? I did both knowing that my spot at UNC wasn’t a guarantee… not sure how I’ll go back figure it all out if accepted. Also, anyone know of student living / apartments near campus? I definitely cannot live on campus anymore.
I just wasn’t sure if the hours were considered as a part of the admissions process or just for like classification proposes
@arstof13 There are a few apartments on Rosemary Street. I know of Shortbread and Warehouse, but there could be others. And then I know a lot of people live in Lux on MLK as well
It is pretty advisable to at least register for courses. Unless money is really tight and you’re concerned about paying a small fee (which I believe depending on university is the worst outcome).
I registered for four courses for the fall at UNCG as a backup.
I too registered for classes for the fall at my home university. I would be disappointed if UNC rejects me, but I have prepared for it.
What are the odds we hear back tomorrow? Since today is super unlikely
I have a feeling that if they do not post the “Transfer Students: How to view your decision” post today on their admission’s blog we will not receive our decisions this week. In 2015 they announced decisions 3 days after that post, and the year before that it took a week after that post for them to announce decisions.
Yeah I really have a good feeling about this thurs or friday being decision day. The regular applicant “how-t0 view decision” was posted 1-2 days before decision day.
I just called the unc admissions and they told me that decisions will be released Friday after 4:00 pm.
WOOOOOH!!! Thanks @transferparent1
Thank you! Now at least I can breathe a moment. I think the anticipation and not knowing is the worst.
I just got off the phone with one of the advisors at the admissions office and she said we will definitely have the results by the end of the week. She told me to expect them on Friday.
Great thanks guys! So we should all be looking out for that email/blog post like tomorrow. Not feeling any bit of pressure as time ticks down to one of the biggest decisions in my life.
Thanks @transferparent1! I think I’ve been checking the website a bit over-obsessively. Will be nice to give it a rest until Friday!
Thanks Mom, aka @transferparent1 for filling us all in. Best of luck to everyone.
And now begins the freakout and what if’s haha. Well good luck to everyone and hopefully we’ll all here some good news come friday
yup, transfer instructions are up on the admissions blog AH
Is it possible for transfers to be waitlisted? From what I’ve read I think it’s true, but I just wanted to double check.
