Hey guys ~ none of my admissions items have shown up as received and processed on the portal even though I sent all the required materials weeks ago. Anyone else experiencing this? I sent an email asking about it and haven’t received a response yet. Probably nothing to worry about but getting nervous.
Hey its me. OK mine is tricky
2.26 cumulative, but last 2 years 50 credits with a 3.53 GPA.
Mine tells the story of a person who was a “total screw up and then go his ducks in a row.”
Every bad grade I have ever received has been replaced with either an A or B.
EC’s: Supplemental Instructor Anatomy & Physiology (300 Hours in one semester), and Honors Society all in the past year
Awards: 3x deans list, Honors society, A credited SI instructor
LOR: One from PhD Bio professor and one from SI supervisor- Both are strong relationships not your average essays
Essays: Are very well written and talk about my SI program and my involvement and how this translate to my career choice.
This has all came in the last 2 years when I took a long break from school to get my stuff together.
@catlas2014 I think it is beautiful down here, the school is just too small for me!
@catlas2014 Who did you send your email to? I need to send one too. I’m also a bit nervous since they have already emailed me about missing materials.
@NjTransfer2016 I emailed unchelp@admissions.unc.edu
Still haven’t gotten a response… and they also sent me the “make sure to get your items in” e-mail.
Same here about transcripts
How are my chances affected if I was admitted to UNC as a senior in high school, did not enroll, and am re-applying as a sophomore transfer?
Has everyone’s admissions to do list been updated? I am still waiting on one of my transcripts. It’s a little concerning, but I sent it over two weeks ago.
@TranslationLost Nope, nothing updated. And same, sent everything a while ago. I think they’re just sorting all the material and will update accordingly (read: later).
@unctrans I am not 100% sure, but I don’t think it will negatively affect you in any way, as long as your grades from this year in college show you can still be successful at unc. There is still a large emphasis on your high school grades when applying as a sophomore, so if you could get in out of high school you should have a good chance of being accepted again!
I called and admissions said they are processing first year applicants first and it may take as long as 2 more weeks to get through transfer materials. We sent transcripts in late January that are still not showing up, but admissions assured me today that we shouldn’t worry and they are likely there and just not processed.
@jennie11 @catlas2014 @TranslationLost @ any one else. I just checked ConnectCarolina and it says that there are no “to dos” left which means that all my transcripts went through. I sent them beginning of February.
Would it be beneficial to send UNC a mid-term report of grades for second semester, just to provide them with information on second semester grades.
@cmartin12 I was told that UNC doesn’t require / ask for midterm grades, so I’d assume not.
Did anyone apply to the School of Nursing?
All of my transcripts/stuff has been received. Now we wait.
Does anyone know when they will release a decision for Nursing?
FRIENDS URGENT: I just realized that my college transcript was never sent… and if I send it now it, of course, will come in 4 days past the deadline. I’m going to call UNC tomorrow when admissions is open but how bad do you think this is?
@catlas2014 how come it was never sent? I feel like they’d be more lenient if it was the college’s fault
@Gowolfpacks18 totally was my fault: I thought my Dean sent both my college report AND transcript and just found out today that that was not the case. Such a dumb mistake on my part and I’m beyond freaking out.
