Do you know how averages are computed?

^lol

yeah zircushio, you shouldn't worry too much cause youre in the ballpark range. and that's a big jump that they'll def notice

Does anyone know if it's possible for transfer students to get single rooms in housing?

Share the knowledge Grey, my major in Molecular/Computational Biology hardly goes over such complicated procedures. Perhaps, with the kind help from fellow prospectives like you, I may have a chance to not only learn how to compute averages, but maybe, JUST maybe get accepted into USC.

geez no wonder everyone thinks people are stuck up pricks at USC. I don't mean to be mean, but damn. :(

Am I a stuck up prick now?

Believe it or not, learning to refrain from saying dumb pointless crap like this:

i feel like they'll just be like "pshh 3.63 isn't good enough"
[/quote]

will actually benefit you more in the future than it will me right now by not annoying me.

And I'm glad that you caught my innuendo.

Does anyone know how Competitive it is to get into viterbi

Are there any military transfer students here that may give me some insight regarding my chances? I have roughly 4 months left in the service and I'll probably accumulate around 45 credit hours upon my separation from a local CC in Oklahoma City, not including the credit hours I received from the Air Force which is about an additional 30 somewhat credit hours.

Will I be able to apply as a transfer student for fall 2009? I will be applying for letters, arts, and science department and I'm wondering how much credit hours USC is willing accept to accept. Thanks

grey it has nothing to do about ones intellectual capacity for saying a phrase like that..i'm just hyped up and anxious. acting smart by typing out quirky comments like that isn't going to get you anywhere, especially on a forum that expects people to help out each other.

grow up, you're not impressing anyone. if you have a witty comment, dont say it at all.
it will actually benefit you more in the future than it will me right now by not annoying me.

on a BETTER note, did anyone get any status changes on their status page?

Hi everyone, it's crazy that the application process is coming to a close. Here are a few things to keep in mind so that you're not driven insane (like I was) by the long wait ahead...

USC begins reviewing transfer applications after the freshman decisions are all completely mailed out. This is usually April 1st. That's when the first batch of status updates come out. (Unless you are an engineering major.)

Don't worry about the average GPA. Some admitted people will have lower GPA's because USC has determined that their major requires more rigorous classes. This is fine. GPA's of accepted transfers will vary by major/professional school so contact them directly if you're really interested in knowing that information.

As always, keep to the deadlines for financial aid. It only benefits you to.

Best,

-WOT.

lol ok my bad lol....lol.

Grey I came across some of your posts, and I have to agree with Zurchushio, he was just curious and asked a simple question, you were too stuck up imho. You are not obliged to answer his questions. Whether you are annoyed or not, the point is we are all here to help each other, if you're annoyed you can simply refrain from posting. You don't need to accuse others of asking "dumb pointless crap" question.

I thought Zurchushio had a legitimate concern.

I want to get into Marshall business school. After sixteen units I had a 3.75 but now I am taking accounting 101 for the winter and I will most likely be getting a B takingmy gps down to 3.57.

But I am going to be taking 19 units this semester and finish up my prerequisites and some generals, and I plan to finish general ed this summer.

Will I get the spring grade request? Or is all hope lost?

Thank you very much!

hey archieg, you should most definitely count on a SGR. USC won't be looking at your summer courses though, so keep that in mind.

Good luck... and bring up accounting!

That s/he will be auto-rejected for having a GPA that is 0.7 less than the average. Alright. I love how that one rhetorical question got blown so out of proportion. Get over it.

haha it wasn't meant to be that serious of a concern, just anxious - playfully being nervous - i'm sure everyone is paranoid in some way :)

anyway, does anyone know how much they value the completion of the foreign language requirement? I took 1 semester of french here and got an A but i don't feel like taking the 2nd semester of it.. i'd rather start with a new language at USC (particularly german since i took 3 years of it in high school) what do you think they will think if i drop my french class?

They probably won't care as long as you completed some GEs to compensate. If you drop French is it with record or is it a W? If you fall to less than 15 hours, you shouldn't drop it.

I won't receive a W, and I will go from 17 credits to 14, but I can always try to replace it with something else.. anything else. I really just dont feel like taking French II anymore... any suggestions? I have finished all my other GE's .. so this is like the only thing I have to finish

Will you get above 30 credits? And is it all right to add (at your school)? It's been about 2-3 weeks so you should be sure before you drop. And nvm 15 is Tulane. I think USC recommends 16 hours a semester, so you should try to follow that as closely as possible.

If you replace it, you should consider taking something in your major.

zir, are you applying for junior standing?
