I've wanted to go to UVa for as long as I can remember and the fact that I'll know next month is CRAZY! Let's keep each other company while we're waiting! We can do a cute little icebreaker. <p>Hello! Thanks for starting this! I knew I couldn’t be the only UVA early applicant out there. :P</p>
<p>I’d rather not give my name but I live in Northern Virginia now and I’m from Ohio originally and thinking about studying Econ or Public Policy. I’ve been down to Charlottesville to visit UVa four times now in the last half-year or so and I love it more and more every time I visit, so I’m definitely excited for January 31 to come around! I wish they would get decisions out earlier, but taking their time is understandable when you’ve got 11,000 applicants or so.</p>

<p>I’m from NOVA. I plan to minor in Spanish-- not entirely sure what to major in but I’m thinking about becoming a Genetic Counselor or criminal profiler (gotta love Criminal Minds!)</p>

The out of state acceptance rate scares me a lot. So why do you guys love UVa so much?! For me, it’s definitely the tradition and the academic awesomeness haha.</p>
<p>Yayayyyyy we finally have one of these going for UVA! I’m from Georgia and also have wanted to be a Wahoo since I was little. And SarahCarolina would pick rain over sun anyday. People think I’m so strange.
Just the fact that I am quite possibly talking to my future classmates right niw amazes me! Dear Lord can January 31 come any sooner?</p>
<p>haha falcons I’m glad I’m not the only one. Have you guys heard anything about the possible acceptance rate for EA? Also, what about the breakdown of IS/OOS applicants?</p>
<p>In state students make up 2/3rds of the student body, I heard that from Dean J. I really hope we all get in and we’re all classmates!</p>
<p>By the way, if you guys don’t follow @uvadeanj on twitter already, do it! It’s updated almost every day and the Dean talks about UVa applicants and information for all of us hopefuls!</p>

<p>Jessleigh–To answer your question about why I love UVa, I’d have to write a lot more than I’m going to here because there’s just so much to love about it. But in general, it just has everything a college should: academics, social life, sports, traditions, an awesome college town, a beautiful campus… the list goes on and on.</p>
<p>Hey guys I kinda wish UVA released decisions when all the other EAs come out because I just got deferred from Michigan and I hate playing the waiting game haha. UVA is a stretch for me but it’s one of my top choices (I live in NC).
Taking part in their global health program with a South Asian studies and/or math minor would be my dream come true Let’s hope we all get in!</p>

Almost all my friends heard back from their top choice schhols this past week and it’s kiiiilling me. Why must we wait so long? P.S. am I the only one with a countdown going? I bought an app just so I could countdown to the 31. Which might be a bad idea because I don’t want to be counting down to rejection…</p>
