Really comes down to applicant pool. Your credentials are great but the out of state makes it difficult. In any case you will end up where you belong! Good luck!
Hello, do anyone knows if it’s too late to send an updated SAT score for Early Action?
It says on the website “The last recommended test dates for Early Action applicants are the October dates.”
i would send it rush. At the very least if you are deferred, they will have it.
why not call the admissions office.
Anybody done some hardcore research and have a solid guess for when decisions come out?
@ Ochillith: It looks like they were released on 1/25 last year.
In 2016 it was 1/21.
Jan 25th (2021) (wed)- 20,446 applicants
Jan 21st (2020) (thurs) - 16,768 applicants
Jan 23rd (2019) (fri)- 16,092 applicants
Jan 17th (2018) (fri)- 14,819 applicants
So maybe the 25th again?
No official opinion here…but my gut says it won’t be anytime before the 26th. There were more Early Action applicants this year than regular decision applicants. Hopefully my gut is wrong.
This year there were 21,393 applicants, so it could also be the 26th.
@my3sonshines that’s speculation. Yes there were more applications. Perhaps they hired additional readers. Perhaps they were more or less efficient. We don’t know. I would tend to think it will be later but it’s possible they’ve addressed the additional demand. We just don’t know.
@BigDaddy72 , yes, by referencing my “gut feeling” I was merely speculating. I guess I’d rather expect a later decision and be pleasantly surprised with an earlier than expected decision. 
It’s really silly that I’m so anxious, meanwhile my son seems cool as a cucumber. Though I suspect that may change as the end of the month draws near.
The increase in applications def suggests later but there’s an element of randomness about it based upon past years that it could be any time really.

APP State released their decisions today even though it was expected on the 25th. Hopefully, UVA will be a little early.
