The other day my mid year report section showed nothing was due and now it is back with mid year showing again. Guess there was a glitch in the system
@BJAG625 Thanks. I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about.
@college67 post #160 Dean J already looked into glitch. All that stuff is unrelated.
Waiting is not my strong suit.
Will first quarter grades only serve to help us or is that they carry little no weight in terms of the application process?
@eespos1, if they are good, they’ll help. If they are bad, they’ll hurt. It is not a very significant factor.
Do many schools even report first quarter grades? I didn’t think that happened often
I just thought I saw some people on this thread reporting first quarter grades, so I asked my guidance counselor to send them in. From what I gather and what my guidance counselor said, they generally only report mid-year grades.
Some schools automatically send it because they find that more times than not, first quarter grades boost up an applicant’s GPA because they are taking more rigorous courses and usually 1st quarter is pretty easy anyways so they’ll likely have impressive grades to show. I believe my school does this for early decision applicants.

@jamesjunkers There’s no point worrying about the past release dates. Every group of sudents is different and therefore the time it takes to go through it all’s gonna be different. Plus there’s more applicants for EA this year, at least according to this thread. I’m hoping for a friday release like everyone else, but Dean J will tell us.
@Grimmbeard, I completely agree with everything you said. I’m just getting annoyed everytime someone asks when it was released last year, or if it’s always Friday, or if it’s always before the 31,etc.
@jamesjunkers lol agreed! I think all of those questions have been discussed at least 5 times each on this thread. Sometimes I wish we could sticky posts on threads.
It would be either this Friday or next Friday…
I love the Caption This blog posts, but honestly it does get me nervous every time I see Dean J or UVA in my email.
does anyone have anything displayed under the “financial aid” tab on their SIS account?
Is anyone else getting this for their SIS? Just gonna assume I’m accepted, yeah that sounds right
@PoliSciGuy23 My SIS is normal…
Accepted sounds good! Lol
As Dean J would say, clear your browser cache
I did have trouble with my sis this morning. But not like that. Maybe because you’re using Firefox? Also try clearing your cookies and cache obviously.
