Vanderbilt Waitlist 2027

I am not sure. I asked and she did not reply. The mom commented on a thread and said “My daughter was accepted last week from the WL.” That is all I know.

Any luck anyone

I have word that the class is pretty much full and they are just leaving the WL open just incase there is movement. My child will focus their efforts on another school (but remain on the WL). I recommend you all do the same as it looks bleak at this time.

I was curious what do you mean by you have official word? Did you call admissions and they specifically informed you that the class was full. Perhaps an email will go out stating the status.

I just said I have word and it is pretty much full. In my case, I know people there that provided me information. Again, stay on the WL but best you start investing into your back up options.

Can anyone else verify this???

I don’t believe that, people were still getting off this time last year and we’ll into July.

I have no inside info, but it makes sense to me with everything being so quiet and so many other schools already closing their waitlist.

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn’t they accept fewer people this year (I heard 1,000 less)?

Someone I know said the same but I don’t know where he got this from.

Yeah this was according to the stats on their website

Was it because they had higher yield last year and overenrolled? I know this happened at a lot of other schools so they decreased the amount they accepted this year in anticipation of a high yield.

Possibly? I also did hear that RD yield was higher from somebody who knows a current student. But whether or not this is true I don’t know.

Yeah, it seems like that makes sense though and would explain why this thread has been quieter than in past years. I think both their RD and waitlist offer yields may be higher this year, causing less movement.

Do you have any info as to the engineering college waitlist? Typically I would expect engineering yield to be lower than the other colleges but we have barely heard of any movement off of engineering waitlist.

I was just thinking that too. Typically, school of engineering is later. I would expect something soon, as it was around this time last year people were getting off for engineering

Sorry, I don’t. My contact in admin office stated the class was pretty much full. Not sure if that meant the entire entering class or just my child’s school. Either way, figured it is best we start preparing to go elsewhere. If that call comes, we will be happy, if it doesn’t we will move on and be happy.

Which school is your child waitlisted at?
