Yeah, I’m from VA and I got an email a few hours ago telling me that I’m in! Unfortunately, while I still want to go to Georgetown, I no longer want to study business, so I’ll have to figure something out… Seems like there are mostly East Coast acceptances now and the committee still has a few days to meet so there is still hope!

Hello everyone, congratulations to all those who’ve been admitted off of the waitlist! I have a couple of questions, however, as I myself have not received a call and by the looks of it, will not. Firstly, were those of you who were admitted off of the list told that you were accepted or were you simply asked to restate your interest? I sent in a letter as well as an updated resume, but have not heard anything since (save for the e-mail we all got). I’m from NJ, anyone been admitted from NJ? For those of you who have yet to hear: good luck and keep the faith!

Did any international students get calls/emails yet? How will they be notifying us?

@LeBron: I’m an international student but I haven’t heard anything I’m guessing either email or phone…

Which school did you apply to?

@x.sunny

I applied to MSB. I think they have only sent out U.S. acceptances thus far…

I don’t think anyone from SFS has gotten in yet either…I’m super worried.

Yeah I applied to SFS as well. I thought today was going to be the day they start notifying SFS applicants lol.

Is anyone else obsessively refreshing their inbox? :P

I definitely am haha. Fingers still crossed but I’m losing hope at this point.

Haha yeah I’m also slowly starting to lose hope. Ah well - there’s always transferring right? :)

I sent an email with an additional recommendation letter last week and I got a reply from my admissions rep just saying thanks for the interest. Earlier this week, I got a call asking me if I was still interested in coming to Georgetown and telling me my financial aid offer. A day later I got an email telling me I was in. The impression I got was that the admissions committee is continually deliberating because my admissions rep told me on the call that he would forward my name to the admissions committee. Don’t forget that some people that they call will have already committed to other schools for sure and will deny the offer.

I keep checking my phone’s caller ID history to see if I missed any calls from Washington, D.C. :/

Same here. I thought they would have taken from SFS by now.

anyone hear from sfs today? :X

Is there anyone else waiting to hear from NHS? I know a lot of people stalk the thread without posting…

Still nothing from SFS… I don’t know whether it is a good thing that no one has heard yet or whether it means that their yield rate was just really high this year. I’m hoping the latter is not the case!

Hmm I’m starting to get a bad feeling that they’re not taking anyone off the SFS waiting list this year :/

ugh I really hope not. no one from NHS has gotten in either.

damn i’m getting kind of scared guys… time’s running out.

btw:

i called today and they told me that they will NOT be contacting people by phone… but rather by email/snailmail
what’s with all this contradicting information?
people claim to have received calls?

maybe they will email international students and call the students in the states? yea im getting pretty worried too…the fact that no one has heard from sfs yet is starting to scare me :(

I wish they wouldn’t drag it out if they’re not going to accept anyone to SFS :(
