where is the information available as to which college is tapping into their waitlist, i’ve searched William and Mary’s website, but it shows no indication as to how many students will be offered admission off the WL if any

PlanetaryPrincess: Where does it say on the Barnard board that SEVERAL people have been taken off? I only know of ONE person that’s been taken off it: Barnardgirl2012. Where have you seen this?

Yeah, there’s only been one Barnard “confirmation” by a possible ■■■■■ when the office said that they’re still evaluating and haven’t gone to the list yet. Take it off the list.

My D goes to a private school in Minnesota, and her college counselor was at a conference in the past week with the admissions director from Madison. D’s counselor said that the Madison person said that the WSJ got the numbers wrong, and Madison is not taking 800 off the waitlist (that number is too high). Don’t know what the real number is, but lower than that.

Hey, University of Michigan’s waitlist is active!!! just got in today to College of Engineering!! So stoked!!! good luck to other hopefuls!!

According the the UW-Madison website, they offered admission to 375 in-state students on the waitlist (my son being one of them -yeah!) BTW, the Chronicle of Higher Ed also quotes the 800 number. Here’s the link to the UW-Madison news story: [UW-Madison admits wait-listed students (May 22, 2008)](UW-Madison admits wait-listed students) .

Can anyone in here tell me about wait list at George Washington for M.Sc. in Finance program. Thanks in advance to all those who help me calm my nerves…:S

I’m taking Barnard off here because there’s nobody who’s been confirmed to have been taken off.

Also, Columbia says they’re mostly done with the waitlist and have no open spots right now, but may have to take 2 people within the coming 2 weeks.

2e4L: BC sent out their first wave of acceptances (the people they hope will fill their class from the waitlist) last week. Those people had until Wed night to confirm their spot. Most likely, they still ahd spots open at this point, and if so, they sent out more acceptances yesterday (friday). i dont know if this is their last round or if they will continue with the waitlist. oh and they send out notifciation by mail.

hah yes i am…though beginning to lose hope..someone at my school already got in with worse grades/sat’s b/c of connections..something i definitely do not have, so we will see. ive sent in some letters and recs though so hopefully that will help some, what about you?

yeah i’m on the WL but i don’t really care/losing hope lol. i know some kids getting into HYPSM with SATs of like 2150, WASP, with no collegiate connections. admissions this year were mind boggling. if my 1540/1600 SAT doesn’t cut it for BC then screw them?
