CAS and still hearing nothing. I don’t think I’ll be accepted so can’t they just tell me I’m denied? haha

officially rejected today from HE. mcgill here I come!

A friend of my D’s was waitlisted for CAS this year, drove up there, met with Admissions and a dean in CAS, and was offered admission a couple weeks later. Not even a very strong candidate, but a comes across well in person. If you really want it, it might be worth a shot!

I’m transferring into Cornell this year (Class of 2016) and CALS and ILR do guaranteed transfers (other colleges like CAS don’t do it). Basically if you’ve been waitlisted for either college, you’ll have guaranteed transfer admission for next year provided you don’t get anything lower than a B/B- (depending on the college you applied to) and maintain a certain GPA for your freshman year at any accredited college. I was waitlisted from ILR last year and was offered a GT (or “Transfer Option” as they call it) for this year. Good luck, everyone!

I forgot Human Ecology, they do GTs too. But yeah, as long as you’ve been waitlisted to either of those three, you’re automatically given a transfer option (same thing as GT).
