We are the "forwarded." We are confused.

S2 has been in the forwarded status for well over a month. He has not been asked for mid-year grades, and has received the “no scholarship” (of the top two) letter. Other than that his status remains unchanged.

^I fall in that same category. Only I’ve had the “forwarded” status for about 3 weeks, wouldn’t quite call it a month.

Son just hit the forwarded status this week. Did receive the scholarship Presidential Scholarship rejection letter a month ago. Hopefully the second wave will hit the mailbox this week!

so…CONFUSED…

forwarded for 2 weeks now…
applied by Dec 1 and did not receive letter…

???

why doesnt someone just call or email usc office or admissions to ask what the heck the ‘forwarded’ status means???

and it seems that no one who applied after dec. 1 has the forwarded status, correct?

Because they’d probably just give us a standard “it means what it says” sort of line. We all understand that in plain English, “Forwarded for committee review” means that one’s application has been transferred for the committee review, and that’s what they’d probably say. Duh.

But many of us are slightly skeptical about this whole meaning of “forwarded.” Most of us have a feeling it means something more important. It could be good…or bad. And asking the admissions department probably wouldn’t get us the exact answer we’re looking for.

crazi- d applied in January, had ‘forwarded to committee", then “application is not complete until midyear grades are received”, finally "we have everything we need to make a decision.’
Looking at last year, people were rejected and accepted with all of those notes.

I feel like the only person who still has “We received the fall grades we requested, and require no additional information at this time. We will mail decisions to freshman applicants by April 1st.” :(

^lol maybe you’re the only one accepted. sigh…

Except all of the other SCA applicants have it too, it seems… what a mystery.

dream upside down…
i have the same status. i have no idea what it was before i got my letter asking for midyear reports because i honestly never logged on to check. i sent in my midyear grades and then i logged on the next day and it said the same thing yours says.

what are your stats? i’m OOS, top 5%, 31 ACT, really good extracurrics/essays

Same, Ive had the “We received the fall grades we requested, and require no additional information at this time. We will mail decisions to freshman applicants by April 1st.”

For some reason, I feel like its not a good status to have. Its like…they don’t want anything else from you.

haha einnob, i feel the same way about my status now (forwarded). We shouldn’t worry too much, we just need to relax and wait a few more days. Hopefully we all have good news on the way.

i dont think its bad. it updated literally the day after i sent in my first semester grades. that means it couldn’t be bad because there is no way they saw my grades and rejected me the day after i sent them in. i honestly think it means just that, they received our grades and will now make a decision

I had “under review” to “preliminary” then back to “under”

and today i had “forwarded”

any idea what this means, good luck to all

“We shouldn’t worry too much, we just need to relax and wait a few more days.”

weeks…-_-

wait… does anyone who submitted fall grades have a status other than “received fall grades”? maybe people who sent in midyear grades can’t have the forwarded status?

I only received two status updates since i submitted my app. the first generic one saying that they “received my app, and that a decision will be posted by April 1” and then the “forward” one.

It’s not the fact that my status is on the “forward” status, but the fact that i never received the other ones…not even the mid-year report confirmation one (yet on the document system it says they received it). ehh, I really don’t have steller stats anyways, just some pretty solid ECs (4 years of ASB w/ 2 years of a Exec Position, NHS, 3 years of track, 1 year of XC, Peer Counseling Club, etc) . So I am not getting my hopes up that much. But it would be cool to be accepted right? gotta try to find out.

Hello guys, I’m back.
A few things to add to this thread:
I’ve been ‘forwarded’ since approximately February 3rd. This was during the first wave, I’m pretty sure.

I received the “No Scholarship” letter shortly thereafter.
Other than the small little blip in the “No Scholarship” letter have I ever been asked to submit my midyear grades, however, I still did because I landed a 4.3gpa.

My stats are:
30 ACT / 3.8 UW / 4.3 W
Arizona - Public School
Applied Undecided
I had an interview on campus.

Regardless of whether I get in or not though, I probably cannot attend due to cost, which is a bummer, because like a lot of you guys, USC is my dream school.
I’m still crossing my fingers for an acceptance letter though; it’s nice to know that a school hasn’t rejected you.

Good luck everyone!
And regardless of your admission status when all of this is said and done, remember that you’re going to college and that no matter where you end up, you should still make the most of it. (I’m assuming that everyone who applied to USC has the stats to get in elsewhere).

I know that I’d be happy at USC, OSU or even ASU (no matter how much that seems to be settling).

Once again, good luck!
