Have either of you been to the campus yet? You're perception might change if you haven't...

Yes, I have been to the campus. It was nice, but nothing extraordinary.

^ I agree. It is nice and I like the town...but it's not too different from the town I'm in now (small, a bit sleepy).

I am grateful that I have the chance to go there, since I know some people who did not get accepted and wanted to go there, so for that reason I guess I should not complain. Above all, it is a nice campus, and it is a good school. So, I am looking forward to next year. Hey, I get to leave my house...for that reason alone I am grateful!

BabyBlue...you and I are in practically the same situation, it seems.

Davis was definitely not my first choice, and I'm still a bit bummed about getting rejected by other places, but how can I complain? Not just Davis, but all the UCs are amazing schools. I'm a lucky kid to even get to go to college, so on that note, onward! I've always been of the belief that your education really is what you make it, and I'm planning on making mine great :)

I just wish there wasn't that stigma associated with Davis; that people who get rejected to all of the top choices go there. I got accepted to Berkeley & UC San Diego, and I chose Davis over them. Two other kids in my class chose Davis over Berkeley, so I am happy. <happy in="" the="" sense="" that="" this="" will="" show="" people="" berkeley="" is="" not="" most="" magnificent="" college="" on="" earth,="" and="" other="" good="" schools="" do="" exist.=""></happy>
