<p>It will be very interesting to see how President Schlissel handles this whole situation in the months ahead. </p>
<p>That is what worries me rjk. I do not think Schlissel understands, or cares, how important athletics are to Michigan. He may not understand how unacceptable a 7 pr 8 win season is at Michigan.</p>
<p>I expect this decision will be immensely clear by the end of the year. Thw writing on the pro erbial wall. </p>
<p>DB will spend the next 3 months sucking up to Schlissel to save himself.</p>
<p>While I agree that Schlissel may appear to not care much about athletics, he is nobody’s fool. From what I have heard and read about him, it appears that he demands excellence and maximum effort out of everyone including himself. It will also be up to the Regents to remind him about the importance of the strength of the athletic program to the general well being of the university and fundraising. </p>
<p>If it means anything, OSU and MSU both have one loss too. </p>
<p>Notre Dame has Golson again, who is most likely better than he was in 2012-2013 where they made it to BCS championship.</p>
<p>But we definitely should at least have gotten a field goal.</p>
<p>Yeah, it means the big 10 looked weak on a national stage. :/</p>
