Just curious what other people are doing. Also, how much do you all plan on spending on a new wardrobe. I will probably spend a stack and divy it up between Target where I got a gift card and Sears where I work.

well if you need like dorm room stuff bed bath and beyond has a huge selection on bedding, and just general stuff for your dorm like dry erase boards trash cans laundry bags etc. some of it has pretty good prices and some is kinda expensive but its worth checkin out

I'm doing all my shopping here in Florida (I'm going to school in Rhode Island) and then shipping it all up there. I buy piece by piece, not all at once, so it just saves me a lot of hassle.

hmmm, i will probably go to Columbus (Easton Mall) because there is basically nowhere to shop in Cincinnati...

But i'll prolly hit up the Bed Bath and Beyond for my dorm room stuff.

Just wondering, do you think it would be cheaper to buy locally and then ship it yourself or buy online and have it shiped to the school? Especially for things like cloths and linens.

I bought a comforter and sheets at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. They're really cute. I also got a couple other things there like a lamp and a shelf. I already had a microwave and fridge, from last year, but I got them at Wal-mart. I get most of my school supplies (notebooks, pens, etc) from wal-mart too cause they're cheaper than like OfficeMax or something.

I buy a lot of my school stuff at IKEA, and order linens online usually since I'm picky and know which brands I want, but often the twin XL isn't stocked in stores.

Ikea, Bed, Bath, and Beyond, and Target...We're driving up to NorCal with all my stuff stuffed into the car.

Marshalls, Target, and some other stores.

IKEA, Wal-Mart, and Target for dorm stuff/supplies...then some other stores for clothes

Bed Bath & Beyond is great for the dorm stuff. Especially linens. $15 got me a nice twin XL linen set...$20 for a mattress pad. There's so much stuff there, stuff I don't even need but feel like buying anyways. =p

since im flying out to south bend for school i cant bring much with me...unlike one of the above posters i am fine with buying everything at once...so ill probably just end up buying new clothes here and taking a few suitcases of clothes/bathroom supplies plus my laptop up with me and then buying everything else there (im flying in the day before orientation)

So far, BB&B and Target.

Bed Bath and Beyond,Pottery barn Teen, and Walmart mostly. For clothes....I haven't even gotton to that..I am broke!

I'm doing my business with the street vendors in NYC.

Neat tip: You can go shopping at your local Bed, Bath and Beyond and have them scan all of your items. Then you set up a pick up date at the store nearest your school and they'll have all of your items there. This is coming in really handy for me (someone who doesn't want to drive up in a car full of crap from Atlanta to Connecticut).

Marshalls (Can't beat those prices for name brands...), Bed Bath and Beyond, uhh not sure what else... maybe Target?

I got a lot of stuff at Costco (like huge cases of stuff that I can store so I won't have to shop much), Office Depot, and all the dorm bedding stuff at Macy's. I also went to Storables for shower caddies and stuff.

I'm not doing any back to school shopping. I'll just buy whatever I need once I get there.

thecontainerstore.com - Some of their products are really innovative/unique or just plain out more attractive than the usual organizational items.
