Dewdrop:

Did all of your credits transfer? Is it really hard registering for classes as a spring transfer?

[/quote]

All but 2 of my credits transferred....I took a pre-osteopathic medicine seminar series and I knew the credits wouldn't transfer.

I don't have much insight into the difficulty of registering for classes as a spring transfer. I'm sure you'll get what you need...you'll just need to be more flexible.

I will see those of you who have been selected during the spring.

Congrats jset. I think I read somewhere that you are pre-med....I'm not sure if the Health Careers office has a new pre-med orientation for spring transfers...but be sure to swing by and check it out when you arrive on campus.

jetst did you hear? How were you informed? Congrats!! What program anyone hear from ILR?

Since Jset was the first to recieve an offer, I am guessing that they are looking at our apps in the order that they were recieved. If my theory is right, Spartan should be hearing soon(I remember you having a complete app early on).

Dewdrop, as a previous pre-med student, is it hard to find volunteer opportunities in Ithaca?

If I remember correctly, I think Jset is a CALS applicant.

Not at all...there is a lot of outreach toward Ithaca's homeless community. There's also a hospital...tutoring...many opportunities. I wish I could have taken advantage of them....but I was in a position where I couldn't afford to volunteer my time.

If zakaqel's theory is right. I might as well wait for the rejection letter (not that I haven't been, 'cos I'm honest with myself and know I don't have a shot with my grades). I submitted my app Oct. 31, and it was forwarded to admission on Nov. 6.... :(

I called HumEc today and they told me that decisions would be posted on December 11th.

Isnt Dec 11 the date for ED and not trnafers. Arent Spring transfers supposed to hear before.? Anyone else ( other than hear about a phone call (from ILR) to give the decision?

Brooklyn, I had heard that they were trying to finish up the ED before they started the transfer (this may be wrong, though). I also think I remember seeing in the spring transfer thread a couple years ago that ILR applicants did in fact receive a phone call.

Brooklyngirl, where did you hear that?
I think we'll probably hear after the EDs ...I don't know though, 'cos the admissions lady at CAS told me that they're looking at transfer apps now.

Ah nice, I hope CAS is looking at them now so I/we who are applying to CAS can hear tomorrow or next week. I'd rather not call them, but if it means that I can save myself an 18 hour round trip, it might be worth it..

Just saying, jset hasn't actually told us he got in yet. It's well possible that we've misinterpreted his remark as a show of confidence =)

(I hope he made it, but it'd be funny if he hasn't head back yet....)

Tavel, in the self service online it says ED's check on Dec 11. It sugggests that transfers will hear before then below that . Also ILR said it should be on or before Dec 11. The transfer coordinator said he would try to call this week. what a wierd call for people who dont get in. Hoping I don't get to see what that's like. He said this week.. this week is getting shorter. Any phone calls out there?

spartan,

i agree. if i can save myself the 300 fine for not having cancelled my dorm. it'd be nice.

Someone in the Facebook group changed their education to Cornell, so I assume that is him and he did in fact get in.

Brooklyngirl, he said he thought he would get a lot out this week, and he made it seem like it was still not certain. So it wouldn't surprise me for neither of us to hear by tomorrow, that said i would be shocked if we didn't know by the 11th.. but yeah, i'm wondering what a rejection phone call would go like.

stm do you think those calls "this weeK" are the "in or out" calls.? I bet one group goes first. Any sense of whether it will be online before his call? What do you want to do in ILR? I'm thinking about UMD's business school if I dont get into ILR.

BTW why did you leave UMD?
