So, I can safely conclude that you know EVERYTHING that goes on in others’ lives?

Stop blindly judging and, worse, “hating” others. Perhaps they have to deal with problems that YOU have been fortunate and blessed enough never to have gone through.

Soarer- I can’t work the “quote post” function, so I’m just gonna assume that you’re eagerly following this thread like I am and will see this…but what would you think would be going on in somebody’s life that was so important that would make them go home every weekend?

^ Well, in my case I went home primarily because of work (my on-campus job was only during the week, home one was weekends). Also, both of my parents are ill and I occasionally have to go and help them out if they’re both having a rough time with meds or conditions.

Either way- it’s really not your place to judge someone else.

guys: i think the reason most people go home for is the change of scenery. It’s the same reason that people go on vacations. It’s uplifting to go to places you haven’t been to for awhile, and to get away from the place you’ve been in.

I’ve just learned to accept that you can do what you want to do. I’m a sophomore in college that goes home almost every single weekend that I can. Why do I? It’s because I enjoy being around my parents. I’ve always enjoyed being around the house. Has that kept me from becoming independent and taking responsibility for myself as an adult? I would say no. In the end, I’m still responsible for my classes and grades. I take care of most of my schoolwork on my own (with the occasional help from friends).
