<p>@ Katy : You will get in . I’m surprised you haven’t been accepted yet. Did you make sure they have everything in ? </p>
<p>Ohh & they emailed me back today about my GPA and they said :
" I am unable to disclose your recalculated GPA to you. With that being said, the email I send out will mention all academic criteria - to include the GPA. That doesn’t necessarily mean it is your GPA holding you back. It could be a combination of things the committee would like to take another look at."
Which I think basically means they didn’t tailor the email they sent me specifically for me and my situation.</p>
<p>Yeah no problem I can afford the towers, but I want to be around other freshman. I don’t want to be rooming with people whom probably don’t go to the school. And of course I applied to to other schools. UCF is my safety, I just want to be sure I have a good spot you know.</p>
<p>Ok so my friend emailed UCF a couple of weeks ago…asking why its taking sooo long for an admission decision…today she got a letter in the mail stating that she has been waitlisted…that 2011 summer term is now FULL…that if she had any possibility of actually getting IN she is gonna have to wait…so we…whoever else applied for summer term and STILL hasnt found out…who applied long ago…is probably in the same position as she is in right now…we are probably all under waitlist i just dont know why they cant just update our admission status under our portal…this is beyond ridiculous…we are alll probably gonna get that letter in the mail as well…</p>
<p>GOSHHHH! I feel you too…this is so depressing…if summer is full and you have to wait till MAY 1 (my birthday)…does that mean you can only get accepted for fall term basically? ughh.</p>
<p>I wouldn’t be to worried for a couple reasons:</p>
<p>1: I have heard that they waitlist some people, even if they are not filled, just to keep them in contention without denying them. Sort of like getting re-differed.</p>
<p>2: With the UF decisions coming out today, and more FSU decisions to come, and other big colleges like USF still admitting people, spots at WILL open up at UCF.</p>
<p>Yeahh it sucks…its been sooo long for a decision already…its gonna suck soooo bad if we have to wait till may 1st…thats SO long from now. Hopefully they start updating the waitlist since UF decisions are out. :/. Goodluck everyone :/</p>
<p>Im not sure…i dnt think so…on my friends mail letter…it said that she had to POSSIBLY WAIT until may 1st…so she could find out before may 1st…or ON may 1st…it depends how they work the whole waitlist thing…im guessing they accept the more stronger waitlisted applicants first…and then IF they have room left for applicants that have lower stats then they will start accepting them…thats if they have room left…but again, im not a UCF admissions officer so im not 100% sure how they work that out…but its pretty logical…i mean they wouldnt accept a waitlisted applicant with far more lower stats than an applicant who has a far more higher gpa or ACT/SAT scores.</p>
<p>My friend had a pretty solid app…i mean she had a 3.5 gpa…and a 25 act and she applied for the summer term…so she shoulda gotten in…im pretty sure that the only thing thats holding her back is that she got a D and an F on two subjects…but she re took those classes and earned a higher grade…that was on her freshman yr…and i dont know if her status has changed on her portal…id have to ask her when i go back to school on monday…but this year has been ridiculous with colleges…well…just UCF actually.</p>
<p>Summer 2011 term being full before the application deadline? Even for a rolling admission school I highly doubt that is true. I’m calling UCF on Monday to find the truth about this. Never once heard about that happening.</p>
