William & Mary Fall 2011 Transfer Thread

Whoa. K, I’m waiting for mine.

waitlisted. Jsjdksadnkdfjnsdklfz

i can’t lie…i’m extremely disappointed. really thought i was a great match for W&M and I thought my essay showed my extreme interest in the school. this blows.

W&M Admission- for waitlisted students, can we talk to the transfer dean to get advice on what to do to make our application more competitive in case spots do open up?

Oh geeze guys, I’m so sorry :. I’m still waiting for mine.

Gaahhh, I’m still waiting!!!

I know how it feels, man. I’m pressing refresh every five seconds.

waitlisted too. guess they sent those first? idk, but i can’t get the link to work. so now another waiting game til june 15.

Also, I’m really sorry you guys =( I hope you get off the waitlist!!!

the link doesn’t work for me either. only 10% of those we applied are on the waitlist.

hopefully they will admit some students from the waitlist. still so sad.

what’s the deal with adding a link that doesn’t work…

Did they only send out the waitlist emails? I don’t have anything…
So I guess that means either really good news or really bad news?

yes, decisions are being released and all emails should be out within the hour.

If the link isn’t working in your email you can contact us Monday to get the URL that leads you to the electronic form that allows you to respond to the waitlist.

McBain, other than sending a final transcript there’s nothing you need to do. The fact that you were waitlisted means your application was competitive but we do not have enough spaces to admit everyone who is competitive. If you are not admitted from the waitlist, you should certainly contact the transfer dean in June to see what you might do to make yourself more competitive for Spring '12.

We have no idea yet if we’ll take students from the waitlist. There’s sadly no way to predict that.

We certainly understand the disappointment some of you are feeling but remember what the first transfer committee blog said, this does not have to be your final application. If you were originally denied and now waitlisted that’s definitely a step in the right direction. We know that likely doesn’t alleviate any immediate disappointment but you’re going the right direction.

I’m actually not feeling too bad, I know there’s still a chance, since not every single person that’s been accepted will actually go.
So, you don’t rank the waitlist? I guess it depends on the final grades for this semester right? In that case, I better get studying for my finals!

Accepted! :D

I just got accepted. However, I am 90% sure that I’m going to Wake Forest instead of W&M. That may be one more open spot to those who were wait listed. :)

Accepted! Ugh now to decide between unc, uva, and william and mary. All great schools!

i’m going to leave this blog for a little while until i feel better. i’m really happy for you guys who got accepted, truly i am, but it’s painful hearing about people who got accepted and thinking about how happy they are.

bye bye.

I’m in!!!

accepted!! im overjoyed, words cant express how I feel.

I was too busy being shocked about my UVA acceptance to notice that decisions were out. The “Good News” title of the email definitely made things easier, haha.

I am more confused than I was a half an hour ago. I’m in the same boat as surfwakesnow165. I guess it will be about $$$ first, so I’m not getting too excited about W&M just yet.
