And Lots Of Volunteer Participation

@Dreamingowl - there are tons of people who applied last year who applied the day before or the week of the deadline that were accepted by mid-October.

@Matisyahu: Mid-October? I called U-M today and she even told me the “6-8weeks” which I should count have to wait untill next week after deadline…Today I emailed “ecredentials@umich.edu” with an attachment of my personal statement to them, and the person who answered my phone said they might not be able to print my emali down adding to my file until next week…

@Dreamingowl - I just saw it on last years thread. Someone applied September 29th and got in on like October 17th.
Make sure you keep asking them if your application is complete. It doesn’t show up on Wolverine Access. They might have received something but not process it. I had everything in, but it was marked complete a week later (I called them).

Thanks! That’s also what I am concerned about. I didnot expect U-M came so fast~! Thanks for letting me know. The sooner the better so that I can be more settle down about what I gonna do next. I do not know whether No FA need can be also regarded as a short of advantage.

Yeah call them right now (if you’re in the East) - they are on call until 8 p.m. They are really friendly too. As for the ecredentials thing, they will get it. It doesn’t take too long. Mine took like 2 days. But even if it is next week, you SENT it before the deadline. Therefore, even if they receive it like October 2nd, they will probably still look at it.

I sent to U-M TWICE, yesterday and today. I called them this afternoon in order to make sure if they received and printed them down. But she told me I have to wait until next week. ecredentials@umich.edu does not provide any reply, which is a trouble since I can’t be sure whether they process my attachment or not. I will call them this Friday. I actually worked for college admission before, I know how college admission would print down things once they receive it. But I am not sure big Univ. like U-M how long does it take to process that.

You’ll be fine since you sent it earlier. If they don’t get it, just show them proof that you did send it before the deadline. What other schools are you applying to?

@Matisyahu: Well the reason I am a junior applicant is because last semester I only aim for transfering to my favorite liberal arts college, I do not wanna go to big univ. for undergraduate at all. But since I was not able to transfer while I could not find the resources I want at current college, so I turned to apply to big university this time. My target is U-M. I also applied Cornell Univ. which I felt just apply for a tiny possible luck. And UVA, Boston College. I have not submit Boston College yet, I don’t wanna go there actually, too expensive to my family. I still prefer my favorable women college so this time I applied to them again just for another try.

I want to apply to UVA too, but I’m not sure what to write for the essay lol. I know the deadline is October 1st.

I haven’t supply UVA neither. My GPA to UVA is low. I am so tired now. Last semester I only wanna transfer to LAC, this time U-M seem to be my target though.

LAC? Yeah UVA only takes like 12% of transfers for the Spring.

LAC is liberal arts college. U-M’s Communication Studies is what I applied. I just realized lots of transfer to U-M is for its engineering. Is there any one apply to Communication Studies?

Oh I know that lol. The way you put it “I only wanna transfer to LAC,” I thought LAC was an actual school name lol. I applied for Political Science. But I think it is based on the College, i.e Arts and Sciences.
We’ve all kind of gotten cool with each other like albo and D4wnzz etc etc, everyone is chill on this forum XD.

Oh really ? Could I know what are their majors? I think maybe my chill would be a comparative advantage as transfer XD

I’m not sure about their majors but their stats are on the first 2 or 3 pages. albo23 actually made a chart with all the stats of accepted transfers from last year in his first post, so check it out if you want to. Well that is a requirement - you’ve got to be chill if you want to be accepted lol.

Haha really? Well I really hope to major in Communication Studies actually, and my essay was also serious about major in it. I don’t know whether we will so soon be notified directly in mid-Oct, which is so fast. Good Luck to Yours!

Good luck to you also XD.

I would post my result later if I found something more or directly if I up or down~
