Alright guys I haven’t heard back either. Like I said I can understand the out of state kids who have to find living arrangements. You guys gotta understand that the admission reviewers have lives man. They all have family, hobbies, and have bills to pay. Its like around 12 people who do the admission process reviewing over thousands of applications. Admissions don’t want people to fail they want to give people opportunities are an education, they aren’t giving out jobs or promotions. Trust me man they look at your application for 5 mins max before deciding whether to accept you or put it in the round file(rejection pile). They will let people know man whether its today or even the end of december. This is from the kid who got kicked out of college his first year who hasn’t even heard back yet.
Hello everyone, I too applied for general admission/undecided major (but plan to apply to Informatics or Computer Science later on).
My gpa was 3.2 (I had a tough year personal hardships had to retake my math/cs classes) and I earned AA degree in an instate CC with I think 93+ credits.
Don’t give up hope, I got my acceptance letter on November 30th.
@tastytran we get that they have lives too. We respect that they are taking their time to process their applications. However, the deadline for Winter Quarter was Sept. 1. No one has heard anything till the end of November. There are those who haven’t heard back at all. You’re saying that they will let kids know whether it’s today or end of December. Well, i mean… End of December? When are we going to attend orientation? How are we going to find housing if the quarter starts like Jan. 3? We’re humans too, we have lives too and we also have to make a lot of arrangements. I’ve applied to more than 8 universities in my first year of community college and they all had a reasonable time to respond to all applicants, my experience with UW is very rare and in MY OPINION, i find it unreasonable that they make it seem like they JUST started to process applications. I’m not saying that they just started, they probably looked at them before but I could say they JUST started to finalize decisions. How come they would respond to applicants in March if they applied for Fall quarter? That is like 6 months before the fall quarter starts. Again, we understand that they’re are still reviewing a lot of applications. It is just rare. For ex. I applied to Drexel University for Winter Quarter 2017 and I got an acceptance in October. I applied to CU Boulder and I got an acceptance beginning of November. They have a lot of applications to review too, yet they had a reasonable time to make sure all applicants has a response because THEY understand that there ARE applicants who live out of state that need to make a lease notice and to move things. In my case, it’s freakn Dec. 1 and I have to make a 30 day lease notice. If UW decides to give me an acceptance end of December then I’m going to have a problem to make arrangements.
@Girlygirl256 I completely agree with you! They are now taking fall applications and they haven’t even finished decisions for winter. UW admissions system is a mess they need help

I called the admissions office and they said it was likely that they wont send out letters until LATE December! It is so frustrating that if I don’t get in, I will have to make a move to a different state in 3 days to go to my backup school! I’m kinda pissed they wait so long!
ONE DAY THEYRE LIKE WELL SEND OUT LETTERS ON FRIDAY THE NEXT THEYRE LIKE END OF DECEMBER. THEY SAY DIFFERENT THINGS ALL THE TIME OH MY GOSH I AM MAD NOW
I just called again and they still told me the end of this week and beginning of next week so I don’t know who told you that they were doing it the end of December but i think they were wrong haha
Have you guys been checking your Unofficial Transcript? I hope you guys hear back asap. It’s absolutely unacceptable how long you all are waiting to hear back.

Hey so I just got in, 3.81 GPA junior from a four year university.
I’m really concerned because I checked the DARs report and it’s basically saying none of my credits transferred but my gpa requirement was met… Do you think NONE of my credits actually transferred or could it take awhile? For those who also had transcripts load, does this show for you too?
They keep apologizing and they will accommodate latecomers for orientation but I stressed that OOS students would have to worry about housing, etc. and on the phone they were apologetic but still saying that despite it being an error on their part we just have to deal with this. Completely unacceptable, considering how fast-approaching the quarter is.
Oops, I guess it would have been logical to provide my credentials: 3.9 GPA, Sophomore from NY currently attending a 4 year, private college. Currently an Education major, minoring in Chinese.
@jewls2212 I think it just takes time for all of the information to load online. Nothing on my UW DAR report is loaded either, but I know most of my classes will transfer. I wouldn’t worry!

I am actually super surprised I got in. I think it was probably my statement. I have a 3.4gpa with around 90credits. I have a very veeerrry unreliable grade distribution since I was stuggling with health problems. But that was probably what got me in so I am not gonna question it ~
