Your Deal-Breakers

No problem; I apologize!

No problem dating vegetarians unless they looked at me with woeful eyes when I eat meat and proclaim that I’m killing animals. Yeah I am, so freaking what? I like my meat more than I feel sorry for the animals, its as simple as that. If you feel otherwise, great. Just don’t make me feel that my reasons are “unenlightened” or “lazy”.

My best friend is a vegetarian who absolutely does not judge anyone, vegetarian or not. I wouldn’t have a problem dating someone like her. If, on the other hand, she made me feel bad for eating meat on a regular basis (not jokingly), sorry, deal-breaker even for a friendship.

-too serious/mature
-lacks ambition
-Studies 24/7 (eww!)
(lol I need a healthy medium, laid back but serious at the right times, and wants something for himself)
-No/Lame sense of humor (a no,no)

smoker/drinker/does drugs, the usual

goes to church regularly

wants kids

spendthrift

I’m fine with vegetarians as long as they don’t expect me to become vegetarian too.

Deal-breakers are if the guy…

1.) Is shorter than me. Sorry, call me superficial but you’re very naive if you’re going to say that physical traits shouldn’t be deal breakers…
2.) does drugs. weed is not a drug.
3.) is a Raider’s fan.
4.) is not nice to his mom.
5.) smokes ciggs/cigars.
6.) is a business major.

… Yes it is.

But joints/blunts are fine, right?

…

Love how college kids are walking piles of hypocrisy when it comes to weed.

Marijuana is a drug, but it is much less harmful than tobacco/alcohol.

I agree with this statement, but it can also screw you up in the long term. In addition to memory loss, which is what people most associate with it, apparently it can lead to psychosis and other mental disorders:

[Marijuana Use Can Up Psychosis Risk - Yahoo! News](http://news.yahoo.com/s/hsn/20100228/hl_hsn/marijuanausecanuppsychosisrisk;_ylt=Au6BAKgn6EjVB4LPZVfbH6e9j7AB;_ylu=X3oDMTE1bGQ5c2FhBHBvcwMyBHNlYwN5bi1jaGFubmVsBHNsawNtYXJpanVhbmF1c2U-)

^ You’re preaching to the choir  I didn’t like marijuana at all – it had a noticable affect on my memory for weeks. However I am against morality legislation across the board. It seems completely immoral (not to mention unconstitutional). People have a “right” to do whatever they wish with their own bodies.

Oh god… save it for your church buddies.

Oh, and yes… a joint is just fine by me. Tobacco is not; it smells terrible and leaves you with awful health problems and yellow teeth. Is that okay by you, or do I need to have you check the rest of my ‘deal-breakers’, mom.

You have an implicit association with people who don’t like drugs as Christians or church goers? Not only am I not Christian, but I am not religious. You fail, horribly.

Marijuana smells horrible. Oh, you say it doesn’t? Fine then, but a lot of people love the smell of cigars/cigarettes/hookah tobacco. Your argument is ******** and subjective.

Weed leaves you with health problems as well. Inhaling smoke into your lungs, whether it is from tobacco or marijuana, is bad for your lungs. It causes health problems. A lot of these health problems may be different from the ones caused by tobacco, as they seem to be more neurologically related, but they no doubt cause health problems.

So yes, your points are moot and are either completely subjective or just wrong. I’m sorry you’re an idiot.

The fact of the matter is, both marijuana and tobacco are bad for your health, but in different ways. That is indisputable.

first of all, don’t stoop so low as to start name-calling on a message board. very lame.

And OF COURSE MY OPINION IS SUBJECTIVE. This is a thread about personal deal-breakers in a relationship. ITS SUPPOSE TO BE SUBJECTIVE. I like the smell of pot. I don’t like the smell of tobacco. that’s soooo cool that some people do, but this doesn’t make me want to date a cigg smoker.

Yes, pot causes health problems and tobacco causes other health problems: Thank you captain obvious. Sure pot is bad for your health. most things are. eating bacon causes health problems. I guess I have to make that a deal-breaker too.

this argument is completely ■■■■■■■■…

The pot debate has happened too many places all over CC already and has very little to do with the point of this thread. If you want to argue about it, go dig up one of the old threads and knock yourself out.

Your argument was that weed is not a drug. That is not subjective. You lose.

I love this thread. I dare each of you to print this out, seal it in an envelope, and open it 15 years from now. Then see how many people you’ve dated with the deal-breaking traits–heck, see how many of the deal-breaking traits you’ve developed yourself!

^ Now that’s an idea. :D

lol what? uhh no, that wasn’t what i was talking about at all. And even if it was, then you sure went on a rant. pot sure is a drug, so is caffiene. but in my own opinion these arent drugs that are deal breakers for me. this is so lame…

…so how about them cowboys.

-Religious girls
-Slutty girls
-Girls 3 years older/younger than me
-Girls that think weed should remain illegal
-Girls that are politically right
Yeah, that’s about it.

considering her other “deal-breakers” were “raiders fan” and “business major” I wouldn’t take that list to heart, Manhattan.

i’m sorry, i’m not here to get all moral or anything (i’m liberal on drug policy), but marijuana IS a drug. caffeine is a drug. but DCHurricane is right :p
