2006 audition dates

thanks. that's good to know! i should hear pretty soon, and (assuming i pass the "screening") then can start making real plans (flights, etc!)

is anyone auditioning for PPU on October 21st? :)

Amy, There is discussion about this date on Point Park thread.

okay, thanks ericsmom:)

I can't find the discussion. Are there two Point Park threads or something?

Amy,
Scarlett from NOCCA is planning on auditioning for Point Park. Check out her head shot on the "posting picures" thread and look for her at the audition.

Good luck to you!

Mtmommy and lexismom

Scarlett from NOCCA will be at the Nov. 19 OCU audition also. Please have your students look for her. Her pic is posted on the thread "posting pictures"

thanks,
xx,Mary Anna

P.S> Are you all renting a car?

Amy, The Point Park threads were merged. I looked back and noticed that you were one of the 2 people discussing that date. The other was jordansmom. Sorry for any confusion.

Does anyone know how long the Baldwin-Wallace audition will take? I looked for it on the thread and couldn't find it anywhere. If anyone has the link or has past experience, I would appreciate the help. Thanks so much.

Amy, it takes a whole day plus. !!

okay, thanks everyone for the help. Looks like I won't be auditioning until January.

On the CMU audition registration site...if you pick the date, time, place, etc, then pay for it, does that mean it's confirmed that you get that date??

They will send you an email confirm fairly quickly.

Aspiringactress....just a word of caution....always check down the line that a college got all your materials...ALSO that the auditions are confirmed.

Case in point. Last year around this time, I registered my D for the CMU audition the day the sign ups became available online. Paid, confirmed, yadda yadda. Some time MUCH later, after buying airline tickets as well as coordinating that audition with the Penn State one for the same weekend, and all the other auditions having their i's dotted and t's crossed....I went to look one day at my D's CMU personal student applicant page (the university gives you one with an ID) and there you check on which items are received and which are still needed, etc. Rather nifty BUT....I noticed it said that she still needed an audition appointment. I was rather shocked at that late date to read such a thing. I called and my D was not down on the list for the Feb. date we had registered for. BUT I had a printout that my credit card was charged and the confirmation from online. I mentioned that. Lesson ONE: save records of everything! Make copies of what you sent them, save what you get from them. BECAUSE I had copies, the person was very nice and said I had to fax my copies of these confirmations and I did. She honored them for the original dates. whew. Lesson TWO: double check with every school at a later date that all materials are received and that auditions are set. I do not know if this was a freaky thing or not but I hope by sharing this, someone else benefits.

So who all will be at OCU on Nov. 18th? That's when I'm auditioning, though I can't stay for the show that night, which is disappointing. So who all is going and where are you staying?

Thanks Susan! Good to know.

I'll be at OCU auditioning on the 19th. I'm going with my roommate, who has a friend there from high school. We're actually staying until Tuesday, so we can hang around the school, go to a class or two, and he said maybe go to the cast party for the show to meet and talk to students. I'm very excited about it!

well i just got the happy email from michigan telling me i passed academic screening. I'll be there January 20th. hope to see some of you there!

BroadwayWannabe--Congratulations! That's wonderful!

Wahoo BroadwayWannabe! That's the first step. I hope it is one of many positive steps in your admissions journey. Happy for you.
